South Dakota Parade Float Causes Controversy

The celebration of Highmore's 50th annual Settler's Day was a success.

"It's just a wonderful time to get together and come back home," said Vikki Day, the Mayor of Highmore.

But one parade float did get people talking.

"I had to think about it with the mask of Obama, coming out as racist," said Jeff Damer, the creator of the controversial float.

The float portrays former President Barack Obama in a cage with Hillary Clinton, while current President Donald Trump stands on the outside.

"I just wanted to put it out there, it was just my view that I feel that they should be charged, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton," said Damer.

  1. Good for him. The left is enjoying the charade that the London Mayor is pulling (Baby Trump blimp). Yet, when the right turns the tables, they cry in their organic cereal.

  10. Northwest Woodsman: Took a lot of courage to put that display/float in a parade. I’ll bet the Marxist democrats in Highmore and the rest of the state wet theirr beds over it. That is if there are any Marxist democrats in the state.as I recall, many years ago when affirmative action began, the Department of Defense was giving the South Dakota National Guard a hard time because they did not report enough blacks in the guard. At the time there was only one black family in the state. Now they have 1.2 % which could be considered within acceptable limits. Here where I reside it is.1%. That is why I moved here.
