A Viewer Writes.....

Joe,

Just before 4am this morning while I was coming home from a 12 hour security duty shift in Ocean City, a 17 year old Spanish girl hit the guard rail on 50 West bound, flipped her vehicle on its side...and tore the guard rail off... that laid covering most of 50.

She climbed out waived myself and a black motorcycle driver down for assistance.

We checked her for injuries, and asked if anyone else was in vehicle....calling 911...

I was surprised and impressed at all the support we received from other motorist who also stopped to help, and were of different races.

I saw the American Spirit at work this morning, for these various races joined together to help this young lady injured who was crying and scared.

Bystanders used their phones to contact the girls family ( in conversations with her). while we checked for others in the destroyed vehicle.

When State Police, EMS arrived, we provided them with as much details we knew about the incident.

The American Spirit still lives among blacks. whites and the Spanish folks on the scene.

Don't let the alphabet media deceive you regarding President Trump and the American Spirit.

May readers offer support and prayers to this young lady and her family....and thank God for all those involved in this incident this morning.

  2. Americans are far more civil than we realize.

Don't let the media from either side highlight the horrible - that's what they do.

  3. Very true. I think most people love and respect other people. It's the MSM that uses identity politics to divide us. Look at how they use MAGA hats to convince people - sometimes using violence - that MAGA designates you as a racist. We see it everyday where someone knocks off, spills a drink, takes the hat, etc. calling the wearer a racist.
Thanks for sharing this and showing others that deep down, we are all the same and will always help others in times of need.

  4. The simple fact that the author even made note of others race during this event and was somehow surprised that everyone worked together sort of proves that racism is alive and well.

    2. @7:45 come on already use your head for something besides a hat rack. The author stared that to show it was a multiple of different race and culture that came together to help someone in trouble. Your trying to initiate racial divide and shallowness prove you're merely a race baiter and try to provoke negative criticism

    5. Why is there no racist groups like Indian American, Irish, Polish, etc. Only blacks cry wolf - over and over again.

  5. The leftist media needs Americans to believe that we are divided. In reality, we are some of the best people in the world and help millions and millions everyday all over the globe.

  8. The response had everything to do with her being "a 17 year old Spanish girl." Everyone, all races, want to be the knight in shining armor and rescue the young maiden. That response would never happen with almost any other demographic. Black male, nah. Middle age white male, nah No, everybody just wants to be the first to save the young lass. The response by all those "concerned" citizens is predictable, and accordingly to the characteristics of the accident victim. The response was not typical. Most travelers would just want to get by the scene and be on their way, if it wasn't a young lass. They would just let first responders deal with the mess she made (if it was a less attractive and vulnerable person). Sorry to rain on your parade. Just explaining the obvious. This was not a sudden burst of American altruism at play. All the ones trying to help were just trying to make an impression on the young lass in distress. It was what it was. You won't see that response with the general population. Never do.

If you're Spanish, you're from Spain. Maybe the writer meant the lass spoke the Spanish language. Then again, she might have very well been a lass from Spain here visiting or in town to work for the summer.

Well of course it is, have you heard anyone suggest it wasn't? I think the original poster's point was that DESPITE racism people of all stripes stopped to help someone in need.

What is an Eastern Shore thing? Won't find what in the cities? Have you ever been to a city? Regardless, I wish I knew what you were trying to say.

If you prefer fantasy over empirical (observable) evidence, so be it. You are entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. I'm sure we don't go to the same parties. But if you see me, I'm the one that reminds everyone what critical thinking looks like. Much more fun that trying to have a conversation with a shallow thinker that can only see the surface of any issue.
