Assateague State Park Shoreline Project Begins

Innovative Project Seeks to Build Resilience to Severe Weather with Natural Structures

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has begun a coastal resiliency project at Assateague State Park aimed at reducing shoreline erosion. The park improvement project will occur on a tidal marsh area located on the west side of the Verrazano Bridge, adjacent to the park’s boat ramp and fishing pier.

The project seeks to construct a series of 10 headland structures to dissipate wave energy created during large coastal storm events. The nature-based structures will consist of boulders, cobble and clean sand, which will then be planted with native wetland vegetation.

“This innovative project seeks to build up the park’s resiliency to erosion and other climate and weather-related impacts while also providing essential habitat for coastal and migratory species,” Maryland Natural Resources Secretary Mark Belton said. “Once complete, this interagency project will strengthen the park’s capacity to deal with current and future risks and help educate the public on this new, proven approach to shoreline protection and strengthening.”

During construction, the public will continue to have full access to the boat ramps, fishing pier, restrooms and parking lot; however, the field area adjacent to the shoreline and some areas offshore will be restricted. Visitors should be aware that heavy equipment, including dump trucks, may be in the vicinity this summer. Please remain alert around the worksite and follow all posted signs.

The coastal resiliency project was funded by the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund and will be constructed by the department with our partners from the Maryland Coastal Bays Program. It should be completed within three months.

Dem Chief Of Staff Tried To Expose Suspected Theft Ring On Capitol Hill, Was Met With Resistance

Rep. Yvette Clarke’s deputy chief of staff came into the office on a Saturday in December 2015 and caught the New York Democrat’s part-time IT aide, Abid Awan, rummaging through the congresswoman’s work area with new iPods and other equipment strewn around the room, according to a House document and interviews with Hill staff.

Wendy Anderson told Abid to get out of the office, the document said. She told Capitol Hill investigators that she soon suspected Clarke’s chief of staff, Shelley Davis, was working with Abid on a theft scheme, multiple House staffers with knowledge of the situation told The Daily Caller News Foundation. They also said that Anderson pushed for Abid’s firing.

But Clarke did not fire Abid until six months after the congresswoman formally acknowledged that $120,000 in equipment was missing, records show — not until after House investigators independently announced a review that would potentially catch financial discrepancies. Even then, Anderson told investigators she believed another top staffer in Clarke’s office was subverting their efforts, a House staffer with knowledge of the investigation said.

Four months later, Anderson took a job with another congressional office. Clarke’s office declined to say under what terms she left.

North Korea cancels annual anti-US rally

North Korea canceled its annual “anti-U.S. imperialism” rally, a sign that tensions between the two nations are easing following the historic meeting this month between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The July 27 rally is a national holiday that celebrates the “Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War,” and marks the start of the Korean War.

However, the Associated Press confirmed Monday that the event would not be occurring this year.

Last year 100,000 people attended the event in Kim Il Sung Square, and the DPRK even distributed anti-U.S. postage stamps.

The AP said North Korea has noticeably toned down its anti-U.S. rhetoric in the past few months in creating a better atmosphere for the June 12 talks between Trump and Kim.

Supreme Court tosses out ruling against Washington florist who declined to make arrangement for gay wedding

The U.S. Supreme Court has tossed out a state court ruling against a Washington florist who declined to make a floral arrangement for a same-sex couple’s wedding and sent the case back to the lower court in light of its ruling this term in a case involving a Colorado baker.

The court announced Monday it was vacating the ruling from the Washington Supreme Court and remanding the case back to the state high court.

The Washington Supreme Court found florist Barronelle Stutzman violated a state civil rights law when she declined to make a floral arrangement for a longtime customer’s same-sex wedding in 2013 due to her religious objections.

Judicial Watch Obtains IRS Documents Revealing McCain’s Subcommittee Staff Director Urged IRS to Engage in "Financially Ruinous" Targeting

McCain minority staff director Henry Kerner to IRS official Lois Lerner and other IRS officials: “the solution is to audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous”

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released newly obtained internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to “audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.” Kerner was appointed by President Trump as Special Counsel for the United States Office of Special Counsel.

The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. Just ten days following the meeting, former IRS director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner admitted that the IRS had a policy of improperly and deliberately delaying applications for tax-exempt status from conservative non-profit groups.

Lerner and other IRS officials met with select top staffers from the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee in a “marathon” meeting to discuss concerns raised by both Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) that the IRS was not reining in political advocacy groups in response to the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. Senator McCain had been the chief sponsor of the McCain-Feingold Act and called the Citizens United decision, which overturned portions of the Act, one of the “worst decisions I have ever seen.”

In the full notes of an April 30 meeting, McCain’s high-ranking staffer Kerner recommends harassing non-profit groups until they are unable to continue operating. Kerner tells Lerner, Steve Miller, then chief of staff to IRS commissioner, Nikole Flax, and other IRS officials, “Maybe the solution is to audit so many that it isfinancially ruinous.” In response, Lerner responded that “it is her job to oversee it all:”

Henry Kerner asked how to get to the abuse of organizations claiming section 501 (c)(4) but designed to be primarily political. Lois Lerner said the system works, but not in real time. Henry Kerner noted that these organizations don’t disclose donors. Lois Lerner said that if they don’t meet the requirements, we can come in and revoke, but it doesn’t happen timely. Nan Marks said if the concern is that organizations engaging in this activity don’t disclose donors, then the system doesn’t work. Henry Kerner said that maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous. Nikole noted that we have budget constraints. Elise Bean suggested using the list of organizations that made independent expenditures. Lois Lerner said that it is her job to oversee it all, not just political campaign activity.

Democracy Dies In Amazon’s Warehouses

The Washington Post [owned by Jeff Bezos], at least since its latest re-brand in February 2017, prides itself on supposedly illuminating the threats and dangers to American democracy and the nation’s values. While in the Trump era, WaPo’s reporters, columnists and editors have generally agreed that the man in the White House himself represents the most dire of threats.

Regardless of the accuracy of such a judgement, it is one a newspaper can hold and still remain honest and accurate. If that same paper has declared itself such an arbiter of the things threatening the country’s foundations, one would expect it to investigate all the controversies facing all facets of American society.

In the case of WaPo’s coverage, there exists one growing controversy that has remained conspicuously uncovered: the conditions of Amazon’s workplace [also owned by Jeff Bezos].

Such conditions have been covered extensively in the mainstream press. A number of Amazon’s warehouse workforce have long complained about abusive conditions, with one reporter who went undercover as a warehouse worker for six months comparing it to a stint in prison.

“I’ve worked in warehouses before, but this was nothing like I had experienced. You don’t have proper breaks — by the time you get to the canteen, you only have 15 or 20 minutes for lunch, in a 10-1/2-hour working day. You don’t have time to eat properly to get a drink,” the writer, James Bloodworth, told Business Insider.

Obama DHS Sec Jeh Johnson: ‘We Believed It Was Necessary’ to Detain Children, Families

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” former Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said that during the Obama administration, they did detain some children alone and families.

He argued that at the time it was justified.

Partial transcript as follows:

WALLACE: Let’s look — because you mentioned it — at how the Obama administration and you as secretary of Homeland Security handle this back in 2014 when there was also a spike in children, most of them unaccompanied coming across the border. You started jailing entire families. In some cases, not a lot, but in some, you separated children from their parents in these pictures that we are putting up, from 2014, show pictures of unaccompanied minors in effect jail situations. As you look back on that, did you handle it so well?

JOHNSON: Well, Chris, without a doubt the images and the reality from 2014 just like 2018 are not pretty. And so, we expanded family detention. We had then 34,000 beds for family detention, only 95 of 34,000 equipped to deal with families. So, we extended it. I freely admit it was controversial. We believed it was necessary at the time. I still believe it is necessary to name (ph) a certain capability for families. We can’t have catch and release and in my three years we deported, or repatriated or returned over a million people.

Sen Johnson Shows What Happened to Border Crossings After Obama Signed DACA

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), in an appearance on CNN on Sunday, used a chart to show what happened with unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S.-Mexico border after President Obama enacted the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“Prior to DACA, we had about 4,000 unaccompanied children from Central America coming in here,” he explained. “Then President Obama instituted [DACA] and you can see the result. Since that point in time, over 200,000 unaccompanied children have come in from Central America.”

Search for Titanic turns out to be a top-secret Cold War cover story

The mission in 1985 was straightforward: Scour the depths of the Atlantic Ocean to locate the resting place of the Titanic.

But even some members of the crew had no idea of the top-secret classification of their search or its true aim: to find and inspect the only two U.S. nuclear submarines lost during the Cold War.

“We were able to pull it off under the noses of everybody,” said maritime archaeologist Robert Ballard, a former Navy Reserve officer who is credited with finding the legendary ocean liner that sank in 1912.

“Titanic: The Untold Story,” a new exhibit at the National Geographic Museum, tells how the Navy directed Mr. Ballard to find two nuclear-powered attack submarines that had sunk in the 1960s: the USS Scorpion and the USS Thresher.

Mother, crying child in iconic photo have family back home and no basis to claim asylum

The mother and child in that now-iconic photo of family separation not only weren’t separated, but their claims of asylum are also likely bogus, experts tell The Washington Times.

The woman, identified in news reports as Sandra Sanchez, was deported from the U.S. in 2013, which analysts said suggests her latest attempt to enter the U.S. is likely about illegal immigration rather than asylum.

Her decision to leave others of her children back home — recounted by the girl’s father, Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, to The Washington Post and Reuters last week — will also likely weigh on her chances, suggesting that she didn’t fear for them in their home country.

“If the children and her spouse are safe, and she felt comfortable leaving them home, it is arguable that the mother has no real fear of persecution,” said Matthew J. O’Brien, a former anti-fraud official at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services who now works at the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

As the hysteria of the early days of the border child separation crisis fades, the stories of the parents and children are beginning to get more attention — and some of the stories are turning out not to be what they seemed at first blush...

Summer campers face dangers of ticks and mosquitoes

In many parts of the United States, this weekend marks the start of summer camping season, which means swimming, arts and crafts, marshmallow roasts -- and, very often, ticks.

Of the more than 1,600 overnight camps that are members of the American Camp Association, more than a third are in New England and the mid-Atlantic states, where Lyme disease is particularly prevalent, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to a May CDC report, cases of vector-borne diseases -- those caused by viruses and bacteria carried by ticks, mosquitoes and other bugs -- tripled in the United States from 2004 to 2016.

How did Peter Strzok's notorious text stay hidden so long?

It was the most damaging of all the damaging texts exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. On Aug. 8, 2016, in the second week of the Trump-Russia investigation on which both were working, Page texted Strzok to say, "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" Strzok responded, "No. No he won't. We'll stop it."

The Justice Department gave Congress Page's "not ever going to become president" text months ago, when it produced thousands of texts to Hill investigators. But lawmakers — and the public — did not learn of the explosive second part of the exchange — Strzok's "We'll stop it" answer — until last Thursday, when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on the Clinton email investigation was released. The newly-revealed text was devastating on its face. But it also raised eyebrows among Republicans who immediately asked why it had been not been turned over to lawmakers months ago.

"Why wasn't that given to Congress?" House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., asked on Fox News the day the Horowitz report was released. "Why did I find out about that today at noon?"

Turns out there was more to the story. Horowitz didn't know about the text, either — for quite a long time. The Justice Department failed to turn it over to him, and he didn't discover it on his own until the investigation was nearly over. At hearings before the House and Senate this week, Horowitz told how he found the text, and while he pointed no fingers, his account raised questions about the Justice Department's actions.

'They Were Trying to Create a Fight'

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi (R) said Monday that the protesters who confronted her at a movie theater this weekend are "bullies" who were looking for a fight.

A number of conservative women have faced harassment because of their support of President Trump and because of backlash toward the Trump administration's “zero-tolerance” policy at the border.

Bondi said that while waiting in the ticket line to see "Won’t You Be My Neighbor" - a documentary about Mr. Rogers - a woman approached her and claimed Bondi was responsible "for ripping babies out of the arms of mothers."

"They were trying to create a fight," Bondi said on "Fox & Friends," explaining that the hecklers were right in her face and trying to goad her boyfriend into responding physically.

Black Americans Vastly Prefer Deporting Illegal Alien Families over ‘Catch and Release’

A plurality of black Americans say illegal alien families arriving at the United States-Mexico border should be deported together back to their home country.

In a CBS News/YouGov poll, black Americans vastly favor President Donald Trump’s plan to deport entire illegal alien families over the Democrats’ preferred “Catch and Release” policy where adult illegal aliens arriving with minor children are released into the interior of the U.S.

Nearly 40 percent of black Americans say illegal alien families ought to be deported together back to their home country, while only 20 percent said the families should be released into the country while they await their immigration and asylum hearings.

Is violence next?

The refusal of a Virginia restaurant owner to serve White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the latest incident in the escalating public hostility directed at President Trump and his aides, raising concerns among some conservatives about the potential for partisan-inspired violence.

Leading Democrats largely failed to condemn the actions of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, where owner Stephanie Wilkinson asked Mrs. Sanders to leave Friday night because her liberal staff detests the administration and didn’t want to serve her party.

Mrs. Sanders agreed to leave, saying of the restaurant owner later on Twitter, “Her actions say far more about her than about me.”

The incident has sparked outrage among Trump supporters as another example of intolerance on the left and increasingly aggressive partisan confrontation, especially in the wake of the president’s rescinded policy on separating illegal immigrant children from their parents.

Possible 2020 Democratic presidential contenders Joseph R. Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts have done little to discourage the hostile rhetoric. Ms. Warren has accused the president of “taking America to a dark and ugly place,” and at least one of her colleagues went further, calling for total social ostracism and perpetual public confrontations.

“The increasing personal nastiness toward people who work for President Trump reflects the left’s understanding that they are losing,” tweeted former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. “Nastiness reflects desperation, not strength. They can’t win the argument, so they use nastiness. Sad and dangerous.”

Investigate Maxine Waters, Judicial Watch Tells Congress

Waters inciting mob harassment of officials a year after GOP baseball shooting

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is violating House ethics rules by inciting a public harassment campaign against cabinet members, Judicial Watch said in a letter to Congress.

During a speech on Saturday, Waters encouraged supporters to organize into a mob when they see Trump officials in public.

“In encouraging individuals to create ‘crowds’ who will ‘push back’ on President Trump’s cabinet members at private business establishments and in seemingly trying to prevent these Cabinet officials from obtaining basic necessities without fear of assault and violence, Rep. Waters seems to be in violation of House rules,” wrote Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Class Action Suits Target Unions

Public-sector workers across the country are seeking to recover back wages they paid to labor organizations in the event the Supreme Court declares mandatory union fees unconstitutional.

Class action suits have been filed against eight unions in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Maryland, California, and the state of Washington, accusing individual unions of violating workers' rights by collecting mandatory dues payments. The Supreme Court is expected to rule on a groundbreaking case, Janus v. American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, which challenges the constitutionality of forcing public-sector workers to pay union dues or fees as a condition of employment. The suits argue that any public-sector employee who participated in forced dues systems should receive financial "redress" from labor organizations.

Democrats Have Zero Tolerance for Solutions to Illegal Immigration

As soon as the Trump administration adopted a “zero tolerance” policy requiring law enforcement to prosecute all immigrants who crossed the border illegally, it became clear that officials weren’t prepared to deal with the crush of kids who would find themselves under their supervision. Nor were they able to implement the policy in a humane way.

Family separation is callous and ineffective, but its existence doesn’t excuse the ginned-up moral panic, the pious grandstanding, or the historically illiterate associations to Nazi death camps unleashed by its critics. Nor does it excuse the fact that Democrats have shown zero interest in dealing with the undermining problems that propel these situations.

“Why won’t the GOP stand up to Donald Trump?!” is the well-known refrain from those who lockstepped their way through the eight-year hard-left turn of Barack Obama. Yet every Republican member of the Senate claimed to support legislation to fix existing laws that separate children from parents who are caught crossing into the United States illegally even as the president defended it.

American Library Association Removes Laura Ingalls Wilder's Name from Children's Book Award

The works of Laura Ingalls Wilder have enthralled generations of kids. I was one of them. My mom passed on her love of the Little House books to my siblings and me — with some help from the classic television series, and now my nieces love the books too.

Wilder filled her account of frontier life in the American Midwest — based on her family's own experiences — with vivid scenarios and evocative characters, which is the main reason for the decades of appeal that her novels have had on young readers. Those books are full of details, some of which reflect a much different era in regard to women and minorities. But Wilder's works aren't meant as a manual for interpersonal relations; rather, they're a reflection of a portion of our nation's history, warts and all.

Unfortunately for the modern left, Wilder's books aren't sufficiently politically correct. So, like many other public figures before her, she is a pariah for reflecting the views of a particular time frame, rather than ignoring or sanitizing them. As a result, the American Library Association is removing the name of Laura Ingalls Wilder from an award that their children's division, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), gives out because of the books' depictions of Native Americans and African Americans.

Awan Brother Suspected of Stealing $120,000 in Equipment from Democrat Rep.

Abid Awan — the Pakistani IT administrator accused of improperly accessing Congressional computer networks with brothers Imran and Jamal — is suspected of stealing thousands of dollars worth of equipment from a Democrat House member.

According to documents, Wendy Anderson, New York Democrat Rep. Yvette Clarke’s deputy chief of staff, discovered Abid Awan in December 2015 digging through the lawmaker’s office “with new iPods and other equipment strewn around the room.”

The aide immediately ordered Awan to leave the lawmaker’s office and would later tell investigators she believed the IT worker and Clarke’s chief of staff, Shelley Davis, plotted the heist together. In February 2016 — six months later after admitting her office could not account for $120,000 worth of equipment — the Congressional Black Caucus member terminated Abid Awan.

Independent investigators began probing the missing equipment, which included iPods and Apple TVs, before the IT worker’s departure. In the spring of 2016, Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko uncovered offices employing the IT worker possessed “financial anomalies.”

After being fired from Clarke’s office, Reps. Darren Soto (D-FL), Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), and Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) hired Abid Awan.

The IT staffer, whose family was barred from Capitol Hill’s computer network in February of 2017, has not been charged over the suspect theft.

“The only reason you’re not seeing charges is because the Democrats who employed him are not cooperating,” a top Republican aide said.

Nolte: Border Hysteria Delivers Disastrous Week for Establishment Media

Driven by impotent rage, political extremism, and their own frustration at President Trump’s ongoing foreign and domestic successes, the establishment media had its worse week in years last week surrounding their now-debunked border separation hoax.

The timing of last week’s disaster (which I will detail in a sec), could not have been worse. It came right on the heels of a Gallup poll full of dreadful news. A clean majority of 62 percent believe the “traditional news media” is biased. A full 44 percent believe the media is inaccurate, and another 39 percent believe the media spread misinformation.

And those were the numbers before last week, a week full of hoaxes, lies, childish trolling, and the condoning of mob justice against Trump officials.

Here is a breakdown…

A Viewer Writes: Wasting Tax Dollars on White Privilege Training

The State of Delaware Department of Education is wasting time and money to “train” people about white privilege. They hired a contractor to conduct a training that is racist.
The mandatory training is two days and left many employees offended. Tax payers should be offended too.

Here are some notable quotes:

“What Does It Mean To Be White?

Segregation: Most whites live, grow, play, learn, love, work and die primarily in racial segregation. Yet, our society does not teach us to see this as a loss.

Individualism: Whites are taught to see themselves as individuals, rather than as part of a racial group. It follows that whites are racially objective and thus can represent the universal human experience, while people of color can only represent their race.

Focus on Intentions Over Impact: We are taught that racism must be intentional and that only bad people commit it. Thus a common white reasoning in cross racial conflicts is that as long as we are good people and don’t intend to perpetuate racism, then our actions don’t count as racism.

White Fragility: In a white-dominant society, challenges to a white worldview are uncommon. The racial status quo is comfortable for us. We haven’t had to develop the skills, perspective or humility that would help us engage constructively. As a result, we have very little tolerance for racial discomfort and respond poorly.“

How does this bring everyone together? Namecalling doesn’t solve anything. We need to work together with unity not division.

Pelosi, who serves as House Minority Leader, and would be Speaker again if Democrats win the midterm elections, weeted Monday morning:

Done Right, Trump's Space Force Would Put the US on Top

President Donald Trump directed the Pentagon on Monday to create a sixth branch of the U.S. military—the fifth within the Department of Defense—to be known as the Space Force.

That direction may have surprised some, but evidence suggests his announcement caught neither the secretary of defense nor the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff unaware—and that Trump made the directive with the benefit of study.

The 2018 National Defense Authorization Act directed the deputy secretary of defense to conduct a review of the organizational and management structure of our nation’s space security components. The Department of Defense delivered an interim report to Congress on March 1.

Officials at the highest levels within the Pentagon reviewed the report before turning it over to Congress. And with the high military and political stakes riding on the report’s recommendations, you can bet Secretary of Defense James Mattis passed the findings on to his boss.

Maxine Waters Praised Violent LA Race Riots As ‘Defining Moment’ For Resistance

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters made news this weekend for endorsing the harassment and intimidation of President Trump’s cabinet members in an angry rant.

This isn’t the first time Waters has spoken positively of political violence. In March, she told HuffPost that the horribly violent Los Angeles riots in 1992 were a “defining moment in the way that black people resisted.”

The riots also manifested shocking violence on residents of the city. Random innocent people were beaten and killed; many more businesses were destroyed.

Selective Separation Anxiety

We wonder what the black community thinks listening to the wailing expressed by Democrats over the newest crisis involving the “rights” of people illegally crossing the southern border. You know, the same blacks who’ve been the bedrock voter bloc for Democrats since Lyndon B. Johnson promised he’d use the supposed War on Poverty to “have those n—gers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”

In reality, his income redistribution scheme to “end poverty” demolished the intact families of many in the black community and caused poverty in numerous forms.

How long have Americans been told that Congress and the president were going to produce “comprehensive” immigration reform? That campaign promise goes back to the amnesty given to three million illegal immigrants by President Ronald Reagan, who signed the Immigrant Reform and Control Act of 1986. The border security Democrats promised in return never materialized.

Fast-forward four presidents and 32 years through promises, pledges and pontifications of both Democrats and Republicans about the issue — the need to secure the southern border and the priority of a legal immigration system — and there’s nothing to show for it. This yielded President Donald Trump, who was elected primarily because of his tough stance on America’s laughable legal immigration enforcement with the help, surprisingly, of more black voters than GOP nominees in 2008 and 2012.

Huh? More black voters supported Donald Trump — the guy who’s supposedly a racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobe, unstable “Hitler”?! Yep. Even in November 2016, a larger number of black voters had become “woke” to the reality that they were being shelved by Democrats, to whom they’ve been loyal for almost six decades, in exchange for a more in vogue victim group — illegal immigrants.

Facebook wants to hide secret inaudible messages in TV ads that can make your phone record

It allows Facebook to conceal ‘a non-human-hearable digital sound’ in the audio of a TV ad or other content.

Republican lawmaker introduces motion asking for Maxine Waters' resignation

A Republican Congressman on Monday introduced an initiative to censure California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters and ask for her resignation after she encouraged others to confront Trump administration officials.

The measure comes after Waters encouraged harassment of Trump administration officials over the weekend at a rally in Los Angeles.

It was a similar story for a Craftsman push mower.

Sears’ current liquidation price: $450. Before liquidation, the same mower was on sale for $399.

Hate: Red Hen owner followed Sanders family to another restaurant

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee alleged Monday that the restaurant owner who refused service to his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, actually ended up following Mrs. Sanders’ family to another restaurant and causing a “scene.”

Mr. Huckabee told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday that Stephanie Wilkinson, owner of the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia, kicked Mrs. Sanders and her family out of the restaurant and then proceeded to yell at them when they tried to go to a different restaurant across the street.

“There’s a part of that story that hasn’t been told, you’re going to be the first to hear it,” Mr. Huckabee said, Mediaite first reported. “Once Sarah and her family left, of course Sarah was asked to please vacate, Sarah and her husband just went home. They had sort of had enough. But the rest of her family went across the street to a different restaurant.

“The owner of the Red Hen — nobody’s told this — then followed them across the street, called people, and organized a protest yelling and screaming at them from outside the other restaurant and creating this scene,” he said.

Illegal Immigrant Indicted for Alleged Voter Fraud in Texas

A Salvadoran national, who Texas prosecutors say has been living illegally in the state since the 1980s, was indicted by a federal grand jury for alleged voter fraud and other immigration violations.

On Friday, Joseph Brown, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, announced that Mario Obdulio Orellana, 57, was named in a five-count indictment earlier in June. The feds charged him with two counts of false representation of U.S. citizenship, giving a false statement in a passport application, the unauthorized use of a Social Security number, and voter fraud.

Orellana allegedly entered the U.S. illegally from El Salvador in the early 1980s, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In 1987, while illegally residing in Shelby County, Texas, Orellana purportedly falsified documents to obtain a birth certificate that showed he was born in the United States. He then applied for and received a U.S. passport and a Social Security number. Prosecutors said Orellana also claimed to be a U.S. citizen when registering to vote and cast a fraudulent ballot in the November 2016 presidential election.

Maxine Waters: ‘I Stand By My Speech’ Calling Public to ‘Harass’ Trump Staffers

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) told a press conference on Capitol Hill on Monday that she stands by her speech calling on the public to harass members of the Trump administration.

Waters spoke at a press conference, as recorded by Fox News.

She said that she did not think that Democrats had criticized her — despite statements from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) that Waters’s rhetoric was “unacceptable,” and from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that her words were “not American.”

Rather, she insisted that she was merely stating the fact that there would be “ongoing protest” and “peaceful resistance” against President Donald Trump and his administration over his immigration policy.

80,000 Marylanders Impacted By Voter Registration Error

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — A technology glitch could make extra work for 80,000 Maryland voters this election day.

If you registered a change of address or party, and didn’t receive a new voters card, you could be one of thousands of people who can still vote, but will have use a provisional ballot on Tuesday.

They’ll have to cast provisional ballots after a computer failed to register new addresses or party affiliation changes.

Secretary Pete K. Rahn on released the following statement:

“The MDOT Auditor will immediately begin a review of MDOT MVA’s Information Technology systems and management controls. The public relies on us to follow through on our customer service commitments, and MDOT MVA clearly fell short in this case. While all Marylanders, who are eligible to vote in this election, can vote tomorrow, the fact that their information wasn’t updated with the State Board of Elections as it should have been is unacceptable and will be remedied. I apologize to the Marylanders that count on us every day, and I assure all impacted voters that we will work overtime to make this right.”

The state board of elections says a computer error is to blame.

Immediate Deportation of Illegal Aliens?

In the midst of the Demo/MSM-created anti-Trump immigration media blitz over President Donald Trump’s effort to enforce our nation’s immigration and border laws, specifically over the issue of separating children from parents who have been caught illegally crossing the border, Trump signed an executive order to change the separation policy. At the same time, he doubled down on his commitment to enforce the border laws by insisting that illegal alien families would be detained together but not released until their cases have been adjudicated. This stance quickly triggered more howls of outrage from the self-proclaimed arbiters of “morality” within the Democrat Party and the MSM.

On Sunday, Trump responded, “We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judge or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents.” He added, “Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Border, No Crime!”

Trump’s talk of illegal aliens “invading” the U.S. is not hyperbole, either. Hard-left Mexican presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is actively calling for migrants to flood the U.S., saying recently that migrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.” He added, “We will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world.” Obrador is well ahead in the polls, making him the odds-on favorite to win the Mexican presidency in July.

Mike Huckabee: Red Hen Owner Followed Sanders' Party to Another Restaurant and Organized Protest

Former Arkansas governor and Fox News host Mike Huckabee told Laura Ingraham on Monday that there's more to the story of his daughter getting kicked out the Red Hen restaurant than what was originally reported.

In case you've been in a bunker for the last few days, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is the daughter of Mike Huckabee, was unceremoniously asked to leave the Lexington, Virginia, restaurant where she was dining with her family, after being informed that the owner objected to President Trump. Sanders complied with the request, but later tweeted her displeasure at what had transpired at the restaurant.

4 Reasons 'Roseanne' Spinoff May Be Doomed Already

ABC saved "Roseanne" from a second cancellation, but the news comes with a huge asterisk.

The network is bringing back the show's key players save one — star, creator and erstwhile domestic goddess Roseanne Barr.

The star's ugly tweet aimed at former Obama administration figure Valerie Jarrett comparing her to the "Planet of the Apes" franchise proved Barr's undoing. Within hours ABC canceled the wildly successful "Roseanne" reboot while Barr apologized repeatedly for her comments. Even some conservatives aghast at our PC culture acknowledged why the firing happened.

Now, ABC is rebooting the show without Barr via "The Conners," the new show'sworking title. We don't know how ABC plans to write Barr's character out of the storyline. What's clear? The spinoff might be doomed from the start. Here are four reasons why:

Maryland primary again puts Democratic divisions on display

The post-2016 trench warfare between the liberal and establishment wings of the Democratic Party flares up again in Maryland on Tuesday, when voters pick the party’s standard-bearer to take on popular Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican.

Former NAACP leader Ben Jealous, one of the front-runners in recent polls, is campaigning on a Bernard Sanders-style platform of universal health care, free college tuition and marijuana legalization, saying the Democratic base in one of the nation’s most liberal states is ready to embrace “bold ideas” to propel him into the governor’s mansion.

Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, is touting his longtime experience in local and state government and warning Democratic primary voters that “pretty-sounding words” won’t amount to much if a candidate doesn’t follow through with action.

Mr. Jealous and Mr. Baker have separated themselves in polling from the other six candidates vying for the nomination to take on Mr. Hogan, though there are also a good number of voters who were still undecided heading into Tuesday.

PETA Used Paid Operative to Infiltrate PetSmart, Lawsuit Says

PetSmart lawyer says it was 'coordinated attack' by PETA and employee to collect secret footage in stores

A paid operative of PETA, a radical organization with aims of eradicating the practice of humans owning pets, paid an operative to get a job at PetSmart and collect damaging information, a Monday lawsuit by the store says.

The lawsuit by PetSmart, filed in Florida on Monday, says an employee failed to state on her job application that she was being paid by PETA and had previously been fired by a zoo in the state a year earlier when it learned she was secretly collecting photos and video for PETA, a fact that would have been a clear red flag for PetSmart. After gaining employment, the employee secretly collected audio and video captured within the store which was then used to put together an "exposé" of the store, postedby PETA earlier this year.

PetSmart's suit targets the employee, Jenna Jordan, demanding both damages and that all materials collected and transmitted to PETA during her employment be returned and all copies deleted.

The store argues Jordan pledged on her initial application for employment she had not withheld any information "that would, if disclosed, affect this application unfavorably," which both her termination from the Florida zoo and association with PETA would have.

Massachusetts Dem: Bill Clinton Shouldn't Be Campaigning With Us

Former President Bill Clinton shouldn’t be welcomed on the campaign trail by Democrats running for office because of the way he treated women when he was in power and his failure to apologize appropriately for it, a prominent Massachusetts Democrat said.

U.S. Representative Katherine Clark (D-Melrose), who co-chairs a national effort to flip Republican-held districts in Congress to Democrat, clarified her position on Clinton during a radio interview, solidifying doubts she expressed earlier in the month.

Margery Eagan, co-host of Boston Public Radio, a local National Public Radio talk show, asked Clark yesterday whether Clinton should campaign for Democrats.

Clark responded: “You know, I think that would be up to an individual candidate. But I think this is a time when we need to be saying we demand apologies that are meaningful from people who have really, really hurt women, and that this is not the time to have people who have had such, you know, public scandals like Bill Clinton, on the campaign trail with us.”

In March, she toldHuffPost that the horribly violent Los Angeles riots in 1992 were a “defining moment in the way that black people resisted.”

She also said, “These were people who had been basically forgotten”:

“And because of Rodney King’s beating and the current emotion that was stirring in that, it was like people were saying, ‘We’re here. You can’t do this to us. Look what you’re doing, look how you’ve been. Not only have you been with this consistent police abuse but the same people don’t have access to opportunities and jobs and health care and on and on.”

The riots also featured shocking violence on residents of the city. Random innocent peoplewere beaten and killed; many more businesses were destroyed.

Trump tells 'extraordinarily low IQ' Maxine Waters 'be careful what you wish for Max' after she calls for the public to 'absolutely harass' White House officials

President Donald Trump is slamming Democratic firebrand Maxine Waters as 'an extraordinarily low IQ person' after she made a public rallying cry for people to harass administration officials they see in public.

'Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max! ,' Trump tweeted Monday.

It is unclear what the president meant by the implicit threat.

The fiery lawmaker, a Democrat from California who is a vocal critic of the president's, made her war cry at a public rally in Los Angeles on Saturday outside a Wilshire Federal Building.

She was condemning the Trump administration policy on immigration - particularly the separation of migrant children from their families - and called on him to be impeached.

Trump Calls For "Immediate" Deportations Of Illegals With "No Judges Or Court Cases"

President Trump on Sunday said that those who enter the United States illegally should be "immediately" returned to their country of origin "with no Judges or Court Cases," adding that "Our Immigration policy, laughed at all over the world, is very unfair to those people who have gone through the system legally and are waiting on line for years!"

"Immigration must be based on merit - we need people who will help to Make America Great Again" Trump added.

We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents...
