Pollak: Five Lies About the Student ‘Walkout’ for Gun Control

Thousands of students “walked out” of classrooms at schools across the country on Wednesday to protest for new gun control legislation in the wake of last month’s mass shooting at Marjory Stonemason Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

The mainstream media are celebrating the “walkout” as an authentic expression of outrage that demands a response from political leaders. But it is not, and there are at least five lies they are telling you about it.

Lie #1: The “walkout” is being staged by students.

  1. Sad
    Spoke to teacher.
No respect shown for the victims as was supposed to happen.
Ended up being about gun control.
When students were questioned they had no idea why they were doing what they were doing.
They were only presented with gun control ideology from the local board.
They were presented with the same skewed statistics the the fake media has been shoving at the public.
So sad to misinform our youth and loose the chance for real understanding and the chance to actually remember those lost to the ravings of a mad man.. They still fail the youth to not inform them that people kill not the weapons.
When questioned the students didn't know what constituted an assault weapon. The plain and simple answer was given that any weapon used to assault some one becomes an assault weapon.

  2. Many, many students at BHS went out, saw what was happening, (chanting, screaming, yelling), went right back inside. They were told it was to be a memorial for the FL shooting victims.
    LIES!

  4. It was nothing more then an excuse to cut class. No one gives a rats ass about gun control. Funny how WBOC hyped it up all over Facebook.
