Town of Delmar May Start Fining Residents For Not Clearing Sidewalks

Town of Delmar
PLEASE BE ADVISED...It is the resident’s responsibility to remove snow from the sidewalks bordering their property!! If school ever returns to a regular schedule, students will need to use the sidewalks! Please help keep our kids safe!! In addition, you could be subject to fines !!

  1. I had to go to town today speaking of clearing sidewalks , Camden ave. in the bury was a mess , as we drove to the dentist office I noticed two accidents because of road conditions. Sidewalks by the park which is city property were not cleaned , Fitzwater was a mess no sidewalks by that park or city sewage pumping station.Streets were slippery and iced . Who the hell is leading this pack idiots?

  2. Ohhhhh now they care about the sidewalks!! Same goes for Salisbury and Fruitland. If you have the ordinances and choose not to enforce them just get rid of the ordinances! At least Salisbury is more serious about it with the fines. Fruitland has one sidewalk shoveled and not one cop or code enforcement officer doing a thing about the rest. I guess responsibility is gone forever anymore.

  4. The Town of Delmar is offering Community Service hours to any kid who cleans the sidewalks, maybe other towns should consider something like this!

  5. Carroll street in Salisbury has no eastbound lane from Eastern Shore Dr to Snow Hill road. Have to drive in the westbound left turn lane. But there's a plow and a loader clearing the parking spots for the city park on south Park drive.

  6. After the snow plow layers your sidewalk with up to 2 feet of snow and slush where do you shovel it? Back into the street or on your lawn? Cruise through Delmar on State Street specificily by St Stephens Church look at this mess the town created. LOL

  7. I know the Public workers have to push
snow somewhere, but it's not right the
public is responsible for what comes
off the City roads so how are you
planning to have this stopped Mayor Day
    !!!
How about if the City volunteer
workers to clean off all the Senior
    Citizens sidewalks!!!

  9. Actually, Democrats would want to provide sidewalk shoveling at taxpayers expense. Republicans want to hold everyone accountable. Just sayin.
