They say that the La Niña weather pattern is likely to develop. That means "greater-than-average snowfall around the Great Lakes and in the northern Rockies, with less-than-average snowfall throughout the Mid-Atlantic region," Mike Halpert of the Climate Prediction Center said in a forecast Thursday.
Hawaii, western and northern Alaska and the lower two-thirds of the contiguous U.S. are likely to see warmer-than-average temperatures, Halpert says. A small portion of the Northwest U.S. and parts of Alaska are expected to see cooler-than-usual temperatures.

Speaking of Dan, how many of you who believe his weather reports are frequently incorrect, still watch him his forecast. How many have located a more reliable site for weather. Where is it?
Just what is Noaa's accuracy? My horses and the fuzzy woolie caterpillars disagree. I'm going with them.
ReplyDeleteAs for forecasts, I like Weather Underground. Watching Dan's forecasts is kind of like reading your horoscope. Strictly for entertainment purposes.
The acorns have been falling like crazy. Like it's raining. Never seen my yard so covered. I heard that was natures way of feeding the animals through a cold winter. We'll see.
