10 sailors missing, 5 injured after USS McCain collision

Ten sailors were missing and five injured early Monday when a US Navy destroyer collided with a merchant ship near Singapore — the second such crash in as many months.

The USS John S. McCain collided with the Liberian-registered oil tanker Alnic MC in the Strait of Malacca at about 5:24 a.m. local time while it was on its way to a routine port visit in Singapore, according to a statement from the Navy.

  2. What kind of military did obama produce , my guess is a bunch of pure idiots . This is not like the SF freeway with traffic everywhere. I only wish it had been John McCain himself.

  5. How does this happen? Several electronic anomalies must occur and continue for a collision with a military warship to happen. These are avoidance neutralization attacks the Navy and Government doesn't want to admit. Someone, Communists most likely, is turning off the electronic eyes and ears of these battleships. There is no other explanation.

  8. I would like to know how this happened because the damage is on the port side which under normal conditions would mean the U.S. ship had the right of way. Thare are other circumstances that can change that though such as a vessel that is restricted in her ability change course due to her draft, also it the responsibility of both ships to in time of emergency to do what is necessary to avoid a collision. Also I know there is not always accurate information in the wheel house of naval ships due to their reliance on electronics, channels constantly change due to the weather and tides, that is why the navy uses civilian pilots in a lot of places such as the Delaware bay up into Philadelphia navy yard.

  12. Our government wouldn't know HOW to tell the truth anymore. There's no way this was done by a oil tanker

  13. Looks like it is Tanker's Fault ....it hit the Navy Ship
    Not the other way around........

The company who owns it should be charged and made to pay for it ..........

The poor missing are probably CRUSHED and are inside ship

  14. Obviously that Bulbus Bow on the tanker DRILLED the side
    of our Navy ship....
Doesn't take a genius to figure that out ......
It's not like the Navy ship used it's side thrusters to
go into the tanker sideways !!!!!!
