Michael Brown's Parents Settle Wrongful Death Lawsuit With Ferguson, Mo.

Nearly three years after their son's death sparked nationwide protests, the parents of Michael Brown have settled their wrongful death lawsuit against the city of Ferguson, Mo.

Brown, who was African-American, was shot and killed by a white police officer in August 2014.

As we reported, Brown's parents filed a civil lawsuit against the city of Ferguson, former police chief Thomas Jackson and former police officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed the unarmed 18-year-old.

The lawsuit claimed Wilson "unjustifiably shot and killed" Brown, using "an unnecessary and unreasonable" amount of force.

  3. At least the case caused many police to think twice before killing one of us.
    That is a good thing.

    1. Bullcrap, if your "us" wasnt so violent/non cooperative in the first place this would not ever happen. Act like a thug, get treated like a thug!

  4. Had Planned Parenthood done what they were created to do, Michael Brown would not even exist and somebody would have made a few dollars selling his body parts.

    Democrats are never happy.

  6. I am tired of the Democrats bringing down cities and their citizens with their gerrymandering. I've decided to register as a Democrat so I can vote for the least likely candidate during the Primaries and then voting for the Republicans at the general election. Wilmington has gotten out of control for the conservatives of Delaware and it needs to stop.

  7. Nothing but a young THUG, maybe if he obeyed the policeman's commands, he'd still be alive.

  8. Maybe the store owners can now sue them for inciting the riots that burned down their stores.

  12. Why would the clan need a lawsuit? It appears they have their own lucrative clothing line. Bet they already receive some sort of taxpayer funding. Not a derogatory statement, just common knowledge.

  13. I don't understand why we keep paying the families of these thugs. It seems like every time this happens we pay the family. For what, raising a thug, teaching them not to obey the police. The police officer was found to be in the right here. Why are we paying for "wrongful death." Most of the time the state, county settles with the family before the court even rules that the police were "in the right." Seems sort of like paying Palestinian families when they blow themselves up in terrorist attacks.

All it did was get more officers killed.
Facts are facts no matter the color.
He shot in in fear of his life.
If the thug hadn't attacked he would still be alive.
Anyone who pays them anything is a bigger fool than he was.
