Senate Judiciary Chairman Grassley confirms Trump NOT under FBI investigation

On Thursday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley confirmed President Donald Trump’s statement that he was not being investigated by the FBI, contrary to what many democrats and mainstream media reporters have said.

In Trump’s letter announcing the firing of FBI Director James Comey, he wrote: “I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation.”

At an executive meeting, Grassley reinforced what Trump wrote, telling committee members that he and Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein had met with FBI Director Comey last week, who briefed the two senators on who the actual targets of the investigations are.

From Breitbart:

“Senator Feinstein and I heard nothing that contradicted the President’s statement,” he said. Feinstein then said after Grassley’s statement, “I very much appreciate what you’ve said and it’s very accurate, and we were briefed.”

Grassley said that, shortly after Comey had briefed them, he had tweeted that the then-FBI director should be more transparent. “I said he should tell the public what he told Senator Feinstein and me about whether the FBI is or is not investigating the President,” he said.

  4. Sorry Libs, your Russian narrative has crashed and burned. You've also been hard at work with your media lackeys to get people off the Seth Rich story with your garbage about Comey memos that no one has actually seen and big Russian Trump leak story that ended up a huge bust. Incidentally, the President can declassify anything anytime anywhere so if that idiot story were true, he wouldn't have been doing anything not in his scope of power. Don't fall for all the bullsh**. They're trying to get you off another Clinton murder and it's getting old. Media in this country is worse than Pravda.

  5. 7:23, while I don't agree at all with the views of Susan and Jackie, I do defend their right to free speech and their political viewpoint. Jackie, especially is well studied, so why can't she have an opinion without being ridiculed?

  6. 10:37 - Doesn't sound like 7:23 was trying to squash free speech. Just sounds like gloating that they might be wrong, which is free speech as well.
