Average Health Insurance Premiums Doubled Under O.Care

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a new report that reveals that individual health insurance premiums doubled under Obamacare.

Health insurance premiums doubled since 2013, the year before many Obamacare regulations and mandates took effect. The Obama administration compiled the data for the report, which was produced by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE).

HHS spokesperson Alleigh MarrĂ© stated, “With data that shows average premiums doubling nationwide and Americans paying nearly $3,000 more for health insurance per year, this report is a sobering reminder of why reforming our healthcare system remains a top priority of the Trump Administration. The status quo is unsustainable.”

  2. At least doubled even though the lying ghetto garbage said they would go down by 2500 dollars. Typical ghetto always lying and trying to pull a hustle on people. It's so unfortunate that all democrats are such dishonest and/or stupid.

  3. That is not for all insured people, just people that can only get insurance through the government program. If you are in a group plan with an employer, this is not the case.

    1. In a county insurance with group number and it is the case.... I don't have cable, I don't drink, smoke or eat out. I don't have car payments. EVERYTHING is going to cover my family's health insurance and it's going up again... I voted Trump to help fix it and he is trying but I can't hold out much longer... I will take a money donation from you if got it??

  4. It is the case the insurance went up across the board your employer just didn't pass all the rate increase to there employees. If so my employees would be working for insurance and gas money to drive back and forth to work for there insurance

  5. Group Employer Plans also went up, although I am not certain about the percentages.
Ask anyone involved with HR or who is aware of the topic and they will tell you, group plans went up a lot.

I never meet each year. (single person) Thank you OBAMA! NOT! I am sure he is living the life of luxury now and I will end up working at least until the age of 65 and then longer. Don't mind working but having to
pay over $800.00 a month for health insurance is ludicrous!

Not true. I have a private plan and mine went up a lot. From just less then 200 to almost 1000. The explanation each tim is so it would become obamacare compliant. The funny thing is I used it one time in over 20 yrs for an ER visit. As far as employers yes their plans did raise too. I know a small business owner who while isn't forced to offer does. It went for him from the business contributing almost 40,000 a year to around 70,000 a year. He had to of course have the employees pay more because the business doesn't make the kind of money to pay that much out a year.
