Undocumented Maryland family worries about their future
One of the president-elect's main policy points during the campaign was securing the southern border. He vowed to build the wall and deport millions of undocumented, immigrants. But for those who are undocumented fear that their families will be broken apart is mounting as Donald Trump prepares to take office.
This was one of the hottest, most controversial issues in the campaign. WBAL-TV 11 News spoke to an undocumented family living in Baltimore County about their serious, real-life worries for the future.
Carlos Crespo is a devoted father, teaching his 6-year-old daughter with Down syndrome her ABCs. He's terrified about Trump's calls for mass deportation.
"We try to live a normal life, but we have this fear hanging over us, I don't know if one day I'll get a call they've detained my wife, I don't know If I'll be able come home to see my daughter," Crespo said.
I get that you people are worried, and do't want your family separated but you are here ILLEGALLY... That means against the law, you have no right to be here under our laws... So I don't give two shits if you or your wife get deported... You take money from our economy, causing me to have less pay so I can't even buy a damn steak for dinner... Then you only send money back to mexico to support your other 15 family members because you can't keep your dick in you paints and pop kids out like rabbits...
If you came here legally, and the proper way, I would be open arms to you and your family, as most Americas would be as well... Instead you come here illegally and steal from us, and then you want us to care for you and not deport you? Go F yourself... People are struggling to survive here because you steal our money and jobs...
Hey, get "documented" and apply for citizenship, like you are supposed to do. Then your worries will be over. If you are a criminal illegal alien, then you need to be incarcerated, or deported. They are the only ones that need to fear. Living here illegally is not an entitlement to anyone of any race or nationality.
Joe this just shows these people come to the U.S. with total disregard for our laws! The article says they have been here for 16 YEARS.....and what effort have they made to become LEGAL????? Apparently ZERO EFFORT, now they want sympathy and are so concerned about being deported.....bullshit! NOT LEGAL THEY HAVE TO GO! Mexico's President said he will take care of his people so they should be pleased to go back home.
I say we give them 90 days to register, if after 90 days they aren't registered then they are immediately deported when found no ifs, ands, or buts. Once they have registered if the are found guilty of any felony, drug, or traffic offense they are immediately deported. Once they have registered they are required to pay off a $5000 fine within 2 years or they are immediately deported. The money from the fine will be used to pay for the wall. 11 million illegal aliens times $5000 is $50 billion. Also until they pay the fine they aren't eligible for any services that cost the government money and the FICA collected from their job will not accrue to their account.
"devoted father! really? Hardly more like a criminal who has no regard for his child whatsoever. A potentially "wanted" person who makes a baby is only thinking of themselves and not one iota about a child who could be affected by their irresponsible and criminal actions. He's hardly a devoted father but more like the worst kind of father an innocent child could ever get stuck with. They should be deported and he has no one to blame but himself. He just like any other criminal grew it so should have to pay the consequences of being a law breaker.
They came here knowing they broke the law. No sympathy! Get the hell out!!! If you want to be a citizen, come here through normal channels and file for citizen ship. Get your green card. I know some aliens who have been here all their live just on a non resident alien card. That is another issue that needs to be looked into as well.
They should be the first to go. Make an example!! Maybe they should just start heading back to the boarders since America is now an unsafe place to live.
Every action has a consequence. Some good some bad. This "father" made the choice to have a child in a country where he was illegally. I have ZERO sympathy. He is not a devoted father or even a good father. He's trash. You don't bring a child into the world when your own situation is unstable. He like millions of other illegals have the child as a way to abuse the system and if he says otherwise he is a damn liar.

I don't understand why he says he and his wife will be deported but the daughter will stay here. TAKE HER WITH YOU!! We aren't trying to break up your family. We're trying to assure that our own families have a decent future without having to support your family.

I don't remember any conservatives touting sanctuary cities that undermine our nation's sovereignty - not to say Republicans in the past haven't failed on the issue of immigration as well but the last 8 years have been an epic failure on the subject
You guys always want to demonize the immigrant, even though he or she is simply doing what it takes to feed thier family. How about we instead go after the employers whomare hiring these folks. Create a job wall and you will see folks scrambling to self deport. The employers are the real issue here, not folks willimg to risk life, limb, and jail time to come work. My great grandparents came here legally; went through Ellis Island and the whole bit. Being here illegally is a criminal offense. If these people are that worried then maybe they should go back to their country of origin and re-enter legally by applying for the necessary paperwork. What some folks are missing in this is, illegal aliens have to steal some legal citizen's identity to work. This is also a criminal offense. Imagine you file your taxes and the IRS comes back to audit you, claiming you made $20,000 more than you reported? WTH do you do then? This is far from being a victimless crime.
This country was stolen by Europeans, and then they cry about people coming illegally. Y'all should go jump off a bridge or something. I admire Hispanic's work ethic. When they need work they wait for hours at places like home depot until someone needing workers shows up. I have never seen this in black neighborhoods- maybe they should take note. Keep looking for hand-outs and they won't be there anymore- that should scare you.
