Statement From Governor Larry Hogan

I offer my congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump and to Vice President-elect Mike Pence, and will work with the new administration on behalf of all Marylanders. Now is the time for all of us to come together to find real solutions to the problems we face as a country. For the past two years, our administration has been committed to working with both Democrats and Republicans to change Maryland for the better and that is exactly what we need to see more of in Washington, D.C. As we move forward, I encourage both parties to leave behind the divisive politics that have marred this election season and our nation for far too long and focus on doing what is best for America.

  8. Let's hope Hogan wins the next election--besides this about Trump(and who can blame him --anyone look at how bad Maryland is when it comes to this election and how hard it is to be a Republican in office in this state)

He has done so much good--and has a lot more to do--

  9. Remember yesterday, folks when this State of Maryland voted heavily to get Hillary Clinton into the WH.

That's who Larry has to work with.

  16. Trump has won, Congress is Republican, Obama's out, Hillary done for good. So now, let's hate on Hogan. Best Guv MDs had in years. Some folks don't know when they've got it good.

  17. " Best Guv MDs had in years." go ahead...tell what he's done in 2 years? Iv been saying the same thing for over a year now, has nothing to do with this election. He might call himself republican but his actions and lack of action tell a different tale.

  19. Enjoy your first and last position as Governor. If you are not for him you are against him. Maybe Mike Miller needs an assisstant

  20. I didn't like Hogan's position at first. I realize now he has no choice if he's to remain in office with upcoming elections. We still need Gov. Hogan as he's Much better than ANY democrat could ever be. So wake up and see the reality of this situation...Gov. Hogan is still working for Marylanders and NOT spending us into oblivion.

    Are you really that dense?

Hogan showed a fatal flaw in his character. By not supporting the Republican nominee!!!!!!!!

I'd rather have a Demonrat back in as Gov instead of Hogan. At least we'll know what we're dealing with.

    1. Thats NOT the point, the point is ALL 50 states should have a instant gun ck and if i am not a felon or psyco we should be able to get a carry permit ASAP so i can protect myself from thugs who by the way carry guns illegal.

  25. The jury is still out for me on voting for Hogan again. I am extremely disappointed he didn't support Trump. Don't tell us what we should do now.........you should have done your part a long time ago. All I can say is I would never vote for a democrat next time but I think you should be ashamed of yourself for your poor support of the republican candidate WHO IS NOW OUR PRESIDENT ELECT!!!

  26. Maybe a real republican will run against him. I am done with him and any other that crossed the line.

  27. Hogan may be forgetting a valuable lesson from the Gilcrest days. Being a RINO governor in a blue state, may serve him well for the Marylanders that he represents, but for re-election, he can only be put on the ballot by Republicans. When Gilcrest sided with the Democrats, the republicans took him out of his congressional seat by voting him off the ticket in the primary. Gilcrest never got a chance to run in the general election, which he probably would have won. Pay attention Hogan. Maryland can't vote for your re-election unless you win over Republicans in a primary. We are known to eat our own when you go against us.

  28. Bob Aswell.....RealistNovember 10, 2016 at 12:27 PM

Hogan is a blue-dog Democrat bastard. He will lose the next election because of his stellar performance with the two Mikes. Their hands are up his ass and his kowtow to their wishes is self evident. He's got a lot of nerve to wish Trump well when he wrote his father in. Damn him, cancer and all. No balls there. Bob Aswell.....Realist.

  29. Hope we never have a disaster in MD while Hogan is in office. He can kiss federal aid good bye. Maybe he can ask his father for relief funds. Best to have kept your mouth shut and not said anything.

  31. Stuff it Larry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are typical of what is wrong with our party. You have marked the state of Maryland with your "I'll ride the fence". Only cowards ride the fence.
