  1. He's a weather man, not a saint. Why is his DUI any more scandalous than the rest?

    4. OMEffinG! He's the local station's weather man! Move on people to real world problems! This is part of what's wrong with our world! Meanwhile at MMA, instructors are sexually abusing children! But hey that's not as important as a drunk weather man! And yes, he was drunk if he got a DWI and DUI! Just defending my words before someone thinks I'm calling him a drunk!

  2. Seems like double jepordy to get charged with a DWI and all the lower DUI charges also ?
So you get charged for 0.3 to 0.7 a DUI and then the real charge of 0.8 and above for a DWI .
This is a money making machine these laws are made by hypocrites sitting at lunch over a LIQUID LUNCH.

    2. A friend of mine got charged with them both as well and we were trying to figure out how/why?

  3. DUI & DWI are bad, obviously, but this is his business. Would you rather see him or Dan? I'd drink too if I had to be 2nd to Dan all the time.

  4. 🙊🙉🙈 outrage over drunk driving but it's okay to bribe the FBI, State Dept and DOJ; use your charity as a money laundering scheme, put every American in harms way, sell out US spies all over the 🌎 while pocketing millions selling off American assets like uranium! Too much!

  5. I'm with 4:39.
The cop must have run out of ink or there'd be a coupla more arcane charges.
When they start enforcing cell phone laws, it'll tell me they're doing it for public safety and not cash.
JC Himself could come down from the clouds and wouldn't be able to repeal the DUI laws.
EVERYBODY in the system makes money.

  7. Troopers aka frustrated wannabee cops.

  8. The day troopers sit across from the court house and bust some drunk politicians coming out of the local bars downtown is the day i will have respect for a Trooper.

  9. The guy is human for crying out loud give him a break,he hasn't done a damn thing that most people haven't done some time in their life including most cops.

    3. There are important and prominant people who get away with exactly what he was charged with, where's the outrage in that? He's human, he made a mistske and will pay for it!

  14. Looks like Brian is going to be "Out the door"!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Agree 5:20. We have way bigger issues in this world than this dude's DUI.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If you blow more than .08 you get charged with both. I am sure he will be convicted of the higher unless plea bargain. All other charges will probably dropped. And since I have not seen an official police report I have no clue why he was pulled over or what he actually blew, or if he refused test.

  19. The only good thing about this story was that there was a news event reported by wboc in Salisbury instead of DoverI.

  20. Don't know the dude, have to watch local station to be familiar I guess. Do know Bob two names didn't get this much attention when being charged for running around in his birthday suit on the beach. He was a guy on local TV a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 5:03--
Why? Fruitland's officers nowadays are well-known for stopping people simply for walking down the street at night and other like situations that are ridiculous abuse of their power. Has anyone heard anything about them catching (or even investigating) all the hold-ups that have happened at Eagle Mart over the years? Nope. When yet another frat house party has people being excessively loud & obstructing traffic (there's usually 100+ of their closest friends attending), no one does anything until the police are called, which then makes the unfortunate neighbor the enemy to the SU brats. No winning there. Chill? Not happening.

  25. Fruitland is a bad place to drive through, there's always cop (AKA Barney Phiffe) just waiting to get his jollies. Everyone is human, and a lot more to worry about such as drugs there.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If they fire him it would probably be a favor to him!!!!! Get him out of WBOC and their screwed up channel, go across town to WMDT, at least Brian speaks intelligently!

    ReplyDelete
  27. 6:59 he wasn't "run out of town". He self imploded.

    ReplyDelete
  28. He is not the first person to get one, and he will not be the last. Lots of people (Dr's, cops, lawyers, bankers, teachers) in our area have had one. They pay their debt, learn from their mistake and move on.

Sorry, I do not see how this is news.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No one would have ever known about this if WBOC hadn't published it in the first place. Way to rat out your own employee wboc. What a miserable place that must be to work!

    1. They knew joe would get it and post it so they thought they would get ahead of it.

    2. Exactly. Shame on them for running a story about him. There are DWI AND DUI's everyday and I don't see them on there. Shame on them for throwing him under the bus!

  30. Why doesn't anyone stop Jim Ireton when he's driving drunk? He's known to be driving drunk or impaired all the time and never gets stopped, why? Making a big deal about Brian having a few too many, typical liberal dumbocrats. If you are going to report on Brian, report on everyone who gets stopped and gets a ticket.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Give him a break!---Hope he learns from
this & stops driving while drinking---period.

He deserves another chance for pity sake---
how many of you did the same things,
but just didn't get caught. Don't condem
    so quickly.
Now , should he do the same thing again---
then it's time to " let him go ! "

    2. I have nothing to do with MADD although I do have a huge problem with drinking and driving! My son was killed by a drunk driver at a very young age. If you are going to drink DON'T drive it's as simple as that you put everyone on the road at risk.

  35. As long as it was a mistake, and he didn't actually intend to do anything criminal, he should get a free pass like Hillary did according to the idiot in the FBI

    ReplyDelete
  36. He can use the Clinton Defense. He didn't intend to have an accident and didn't intent any harm by driving himself home. He didn't see anything wrong with it. Motion should be filed to dismiss all charges. Nothing to see here.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I used to like watching him to see his level of drunkinness. He was on sometimes with his eyes almost closed he was so pickled.lol

  39. He was extremely careless but didn't intentionally mean to drive. No charges

    1. Didn't intentionally mean to drive??? WTF does that mean? He tripped, stumbled into his car, the keys happened to land in the ignition start the car, then the car was put into drive by the force of Brian landing in the seat and the car took off?

      Delete
  40. Everybody defending him, but he could have easily killed someone! This is what happens when you are a local celebrity! Drunk driving is STUPID, and I think anyone stupid enough to do should be shamed in public!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dan said it would be like this

    ReplyDelete
  42. With a lawyer, most of these charges will be dropped. Since no accident, should be just a straight DUI. Looks like the trooper had it in for him. Based on the reaction of WBOC, even if they don't take him back, I wouldn't want to come back to a back stabbing organization who doesn't look out for their employees when they are down!!! I think it was common the way they handled the reporting of this incident. WMDT showed him some professional courtesy.

    ReplyDelete
  43. He needs to face the penalty. He needs to realize how serious this situation is for him. He needs to understand he could have killed someone or himself and be thankful for the second chance. He needs to not drink and drive ever again. The rest of us need to be mindful that we are not perfect people.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Then bring back prohibition! Make all bars and restaurant stop selling alcohol. The new rules are very restrictive. One drink is buzzed or drunk driving! The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Just like red light and speed camera's its all in the name of revenue enhancement in the name of "protecting" you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Haha. Dan said it would be like that.

  47. Dear Lord, people. He got a DUI, he's not a terrorist for pity's sake. Not to say it's not a serious offense, because it is. He's also not running for public office, he's a human being who made the same mistake probably a third to half of the people you come in contact with today have made at one point in their lives. Furthermore, the statistics on the folks on this thread who've done precisely the same and just not gotten caught are probably far higher. He's a weatherman. A human one. The guilt, shame, public commentary, financial, personal, and legal repercussions he's already facing are designed to be daunting enough.

    ReplyDelete
  48. He is known to hang out at most of the bars in town...only a matter of time before he got caught. Just glad he didn't hurt anyone.
