Lawyers For Gaines Estate Say Witness Account Differs From Police Narrative

Attorneys for the estate of Korryn Gaines contend that Baltimore County officers broke the law when they entered her apartment and when one officer fatally shot her during an August barricade.

Attorneys also say a neighbor overheard Gaines' exchanges with police, including police refusing to show her their arrest warrant. Attorneys say the neighbor heard Gaines tell police early in the encounter that if they put their guns down and backed up from her Randallstown apartment, she would surrender. Officers declined that offer, attorneys say.

Gaines was wanted on a bench warrant, and her boyfriend was wanted on a separate arrest warrant for assault. She pointed a gun at officers, leading to an hours-long standoff that ended when, police say, she told officers to leave or she would open fire. That's when an officer shot at Gaines, then she returned fire, leading an officer to fire the shot that took her life. The officer, under an agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, has only been identified as Officer Ruby. Young Kodi Gaines was injured by a police round.

  3. Oh of course the "witness" is telling something totally different. They always do. Lying is second nature to them. Just like in Freddie Gray who was tazed (NOT), Michael Brown who was shot in the back while running away with this hands up yet (NOT) and the well trained young girl liar who while media was in Baltimore for the riots lied right on national TV and said she saw a guy get shot in the back by cops chasing him. Lie. He was being chased but wasn't shot at all. The gunfire was a firearm he was carrying. Illegally of course. You can not believe a word out of these "witnesses" mouths. Lying is generational with them and second nature. Oh and let's not forget saint Trayvon who was only out for a drink and a snack. No mention ever of him attacking Zimmerman after Zimmerman retreated back to his vehicle. Such the liars. If they had any morals they would be ashamed of themselves.

  6. If you point a gun at a police officer you are going to get shot. I don't blame the police officer. If a woman points a gun at you and you had a gun wouldn't you shoot too. You people are so stupid to blame the police who are trying to do their job and still go home at night to their families in one piece. I don't care if you are black, white green or purple if you point a gun at me you are going to get shot. It is only common sense and if it is him or me it ain't going to be me.

  7. The police are usually in the wrong.
They are mind controlled to think of people as suspects and criminals.
They are also taught to behave as if they are "above the law".
They are qualitatively better people than the rest of us.

    1. Do you think most encounters with police are the result of the cop walking up to someone and shooting him dead?

Most of the time they are there because someone else called them.
