BREAKING: Will Baltimore Burn Tonight?

Via ABC News:

A judge found Baltimore police officer Edward Nero not guilty today on all four charges for his role in the events leading up to the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray.

Nero, 30, had been charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of misconduct in office, all stemming from his actions during the initial stop and arrest of Gray, who suffered a catastrophic spinal injury while in police custody. Gray died one week later on April 19, 2015, and his death sparked days of violent protests in Baltimore. Because Nero opted for a bench trial, Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams decided his fate rather than a jury.

During the case, prosecutors argued that Nero had no regard for Gray’s safety and was reckless by ignoring policing rules when he failed to place a seat belt on Gray, who was placed on his stomach in shackles in the back of a police transport vehicle. Congressman Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, said he would like to see seat belts in every police van moving forward.

This begs the question: will the radical leftists who invade Bernie Sanders rallies and march with Black Lives Matter tear what's left of decrepit Baltimore to the ground?

What do you think?

  1. Watching the news and the protesters are saying Nero should have been made to have a jury trial so justice could have been served. The ignorance in that culture is disgusting.

  2. Shortly after the verdict there was an interview by WJZ-TV (CBS Baltimore) on the sidewalk with Billy Murphy, the attorney for the family of Freddie Gray. I expected some kind of Al Sharpton nonsense, but I was surprised at how responsible and sensible he was.

He basically said the judge made the right call, he commended the judge for not bowing to the immense public pressure for a guilty verdict, and he said that he has already met some people very upset over the verdict but that they shouldn’t be and that if someone wasn’t watching the trial the whole time they shouldn’t jump to conclusions.

    2. Don't forget that Murphy was a sitting judge, too. There's absolutely no doubt that they are very close friends. He's not going to bad-mouth him.

  3. Family already got their 6 million from the city. Who cares about justice now? If they do decide to riot just direct them to the family so they can all share the 6 million.

  5. God is so so good! Take heed all you evil wicked race baiters like the naacp and the putrid degenerates of black lives matter. Take heed-God stands with the GOOD and the righteous and not with you filthy sinners. God had His hand on this verdict and the other trial sent some honest decent people to hang the jury. You evil people will not win. God is on our side the side of good. Your lying wicked ways have got you all where you are today. Your young killing each other like they are. It's not by accident. God is trying to show you sinners but you aren't getting it. You need to change your ways or keep on digging those graves. Good always prevails.

  6. Billy Murphy knows not guilty for all the officers. That's why the settlement so early. He got his 40% before the officers were all acquitted.

    1. Where do you suggest the thugs go? Ask Houston if they are happy with the thugs they received after Katrina.

    2. 7:09 Exactly! When a house full of cockroaches burns down, they flee to neighboring houses and infest them too. Last thing we need is a "resettlement" of Baltimore thugs over here.
