Tim Tebow Expected to Sign With Eagles, Sources Say

PHILADELPHIA (TheBlaze/AP) — A month after a reported workout with the Philadelphia Eagles came and went with barely a whimper, quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to sign a one-year contract with the team on Monday, according to three people familiar with the deal.

The people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Sunday because the contract hasn’t been finalized. Tebow hasn’t played in the NFL since 2012 with the New York Jets. He was released by the New England Patriots before the 2013 season.

After he was cut, Tebow vowed to “remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback.” Since then he’s worked as an analyst for the SEC Network and ESPN.

  1. Why do this? Just so he can make a fool of himself again? America just likes watching people fall on their face.

  2. I am seriously concerned with what chip is doing with my team here...

He got ride of or he let go of our best receiver and running back... And pretty much our QB as well...

Tim tebow is junk and should not be in football...

  3. 758-Don't worry, the Iggles haven't won anything since Ike was in the White House. The Championship-less streak will continue!

  4. He got him as a gimmick play maker and TE. Good pickup.

  5. 828-Getting a guy who's never run a route tree in his life as a TE. Genius lol

  6. Tebow was an exceptional & successful college QB. The problem for Tebow began in the NFL, when his coaches decided the mechanics he successfully had in college wasn't suited for the NFL field. The attempted changing of his natural ability, to make him something that he was not, was his downfall.

Although I'll be rooting for Tebow, it's doubtful he'll be able to regain the success.

  10. Just what they need another fool on the team. They got a dog torturer, a wife beater, and now a religious nut.

  11. actually chip is a mad genius, he's gonna convince redkins and dallas, tebow is the next coming of tom brady and they'll give up a steady stream of draft picks to acquire tebow! well, dallas will since redskins don't have any draft picks!
    LMAO!

  12. if this team (minus tebow) can stay healthy, they will do pretty remarkable things with his offence scheme. Not sure what the Tebow thing is about, perhaps a 3rd string and trade Barkley away from some late picks, but no matter what he's done offensively he has rebuilt the secondary completely, which was a thorn in their side last year.
