Adam Smith of infamous Chick-Fil-A viral video forced to sell home, live on food stamps
Adam Smith, the former medical-device executive whose career was ruined when a video of him berating a Chick-Fil-A employee for the company’s anti-gay stance went viral, said his family is now homeless and living on food stamps.
Mr. Smith, 37, who was the CFO of an Arizona-based catheter manufacturer, toldABC’s “20/20” he was fired after recording an exchange between himself and a drive-thru cashier in June 2012, as the fast-food chain was embroiled in a national controversy over company President Dan Cathy’s public opposition to gay marriage.
“I don’t know how you live with yourself,” he told the cashier in the video, adding that the company was a “hateful corporation.”
Yep it's called karma and now he can suck it up since he grew it. If you have a beef with a company you don't take it up with a low level employee who is just doing their job.
He made 200 grand a year and the HS kid making 8.00 an hour he chooses to berate??? Why not confront the CEO or an executive of company or at least the manager of the restaurant??? What a typical bully picking on the weakest link.. Sorry but no sympathy here wether I believe what he stands for or not!
Got what he deserved. Where are the gay coalitions now to help this idiot? Maybe he needs to realize that actions have consequences and not always good consequences!
Chick Filet is not hateful, just religious. Either way, he should not be taking it out on a clerk. I am sure the clerk did not set this nearsighted policy.
12:26-Short on funding is where they are.Just like another particular group that doesn't know how to choose their battles wisely.Federal funding should not find it's way into anything other than that which directly benefits the citizens.Special interest groups comprise only a small percentage of the population and benefit even fewer.
So the person who berates a faith based company, is living off the charity of others. I think that is the definition of " irony "!
