  1. The site save family farms is sponsored by Perdue.
I won't listen to their propaganda anymore than I will listen to Waterkeepers'.
I personally don't like Perdue's product. It not only tastes bad but stinks worse. I wouldn't allow my dog to eat it either I find it that putrid. I don't like their businesses practices and nothing will ever convince me that raising so many animals on so little land is ever a good thing.
Okay-all that being said, Waterkeepers has an agenda as well and if you are going to file lawsuits you better have all your i's dotted and t's crossed before putting people's livelihoods in jeopardy.

  2. I see that there are no comments , yet.
I will say this , for many years the farmers have enjoyed a life of good and plenty .
They get and have gotten paid to grow or not to grow.
They have received many monetary gifts because of political pressure.
If they have saved , good for them , the silver spoon is about to be gone.

  3. Kathy Phillips is a proven liar based on that email. She deserves to be sitting in jail for bringing trumped up (lies) charges against this family. These environmentalists are becoming terroristic in nature. This video made my blood boil.

  5. The people that dragged that good man and his family through that I'll advised, half baked lawsuit should pray for forgiveness. They should also apologize to the Hudsons. Publicly.

  6. "no comments yet"? why? this has been hashed over for so long and there's NO need for more comments. everyone has decided what side they're on and it should be settled.

what happened to these farmers is despicable. there's NO excuse for what they had to go through. they broke NO laws and they provide food for many people.

would you rather eat food from China? I hope not because it's not fit for human consumption. nasty meat being sold past the expiration date. mystery meat, etc.

get a grip and leave our farmers alone and let them do what they do best. the idiot tree huggers, peta groups and the EPA and all the little epa's need to shut up and go home. period.

  7. Well said 9:07 pm! You already have Allens sold to Koreans, Smithfield to China...let these tree huggers keep empowering EPA and other government regulators and Mount Aire, Tyson and Perdue will all be gone too! Chicken is still the best buy for the buck of any meat. The idiot that says Perdue chicken smells should shut the heck up and buy another brand its that damn easy...its called freedom of choice. They must have gotten fired for not showing up to work...

For starters, the fact that tax payers subsidize a good portion of their employees who make poverty level wages. Many collect one or more welfare benefits. The state and local governments could save millions a year if not having to subsidize this class of "working poor."
This is a major reason why MD had a tax on just about everything. This money has to come from somewhere.
I personally am able to eat good real food and it's unfortunate that most people can't afford to eat the chicken and other meats that I do. Chicken and other meats from animals who eat almost exclusively feed and not grass is not good for anyone from a health standpoint. No kind of chemical should be added to meats.
Human bodies weren't meant for this and it messes with cells and other body systems.
