  2. Good, 'cause dem morons (Balt and otherwise) need slowing down to the born here Eastern Shore pace. If they can't obey our speed limit pay the price or stay on the other side of the Bay.

  3. Guess we're gonna see this post every weekend & holiday through Labor Day. I've only been here 35 years, but for each of them I've found MSP out there trying to protect us and travelers from those idjots who leave their brains & morals at the toll booths. Thanks to the MSP.

  7. OC is one of few areas on the eastern shore that draws tourists and provides jobs and income. Yes, I know, there are not many locals that are willing to work at the beach anymore and the businesses need to hire foreigners…back in the day, 70's/80's, most of us worked in OC for the summers. MSP knows that the tourists that live on the other side of the bay see Rt. 50 as an expressway/open road to speed and collect the tax/tickets. Nothing new except that in recent years they have become more aggressive. Locals know where the speed traps are and can only blame themselves if they get a ticket.

  8. What's wrong with someone doing their job? If you aren't breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about.

  9. Did anyone get hurt?

    Was any property damaged?

Common law - as American as it gets.

  10. If they would just lower the speed limit to 50 or even 45 they could "earn" a lot more profit off the citizens.

  11. Get it straight. Radar is mounted in the car and used for moving patrol. When they are standing out on the stopping teams they are using laser.

  15. No 7:09, RADAR also comes in handheld unit, which is most commonly used application.

  16. 7:28 drive the speed limit, it saves lives. school shootings less than 100 die a year. auto accidents 30,000 to 39,000 people die a year, about 100 per day. look it up. pa. drivers seem to speed the most heading to O C and across the bay when i travel to visit it seems they go 15 - 20 over the limit and then you will see someone blast by them going 80 to 90 mph.

YOU are telling others to get it straight and you don't even have a clue what you are talking about.

  18. If YOU are driving the way YOU want to drive, do NOT worry about how others drive. It is NOT your job.

  19. Leos use both forms of speed measurement devices for stationary enforcement. Most agencies utilize the hand held radar because the unit is less expensive but still effective.

  20. I don't mind them setting up on the side of the road, but when they step out into traffic I have a problem. I have seen this, and I have had this happen to me. Did I hit the guy? No, but this type of enforcement has been known to cause accidents, but they still use it. I thought the purpose was to save lives? Now if you want to talk about the DUI check points that are a violation of our 4th Amendment right......that's the stuff that really gets me going.

It becomes MY business when YOUR obnoxious driving becomes a danger to ME and OTHER drivers on the road.
