  1. The fire trucks have been busy chasing the ambulances to run up their call volume in order to justify their jobs.

  2. Does anyone know the amount of fire fighters we have vs the amount of Paramedics? It seems Salisbury should have a lot more paramedics than they do fire fighters.

There are a lot less and what do you expect when the leaders aren't even paramedics and no experience riding the ambulance.

    1. The deputy chief and two of the assistant chiefs are paramedics with years if experience on the ambulance.

  4. Two of the 5 Asst Chiefs are Paramedics. The Deputy Chief is a Paramedic and 2 of the 3 Captains are Paramedics. Seems like the management knows something about ALS.

Hey bozo you don't know what you are saying the fire chief at one time early in his career was a Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT). He rode the ambulance as a provider. He like everyone else in the SFD administration have ll riidden the ambulance either as an ALS provider or a BLS provider. Educate yourself you may learn. Oh my I just said a bad word. SMDH.

    1. Well said sir, for some reason these people actually think you could be in a career FD for 10+ years as a FF/Paramedic and not have any experience on the ambulance. I really wish the public who make all these comments actually knew a little something about what they are commenting about. they seen to think that the SFD actually has dedicated FFs that only work/ride fire apparatus. They don't realize that everyone rotates.

Is this the same fire chief that took the class you mentioned, but failed the exam so he had to drop back to a basic EMT?
