VETS ‘KNOCKED OVER’ BARRIERS TO GAIN ENTRY TO WWII MEMORIAL DURING SHUTDOWN

Honor Flight veterans who were told they could not visit the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. because of the government shutdown reportedly “knocked over” the barricades erected by the National Parks Service on Tuesday in order to gain entry to the grounds.

The Honor Flight network is dedicated to annually transporting World War II veterans from around the country to the memorial in the nation’s capital, which is closed along with other national parks because of the shutdown.

  1. Our country is doomed if we dont vote these liberals out of office.

  2. Good for them. These monuments and parks belong to the American people not to the Government. Obama had better wake up and realize that the taxpayers own the Government, not him.

  3. GOOD FOR THEM! Every American should follow their lead. They are OUR memorials, parks, WHITE HOUSE, and monuments.

I see no need to close any of them,...well maybe except the white house.

  5. Seriously who cares if the white house is and has been closed.
The place has become so ghettoed up that decent honest Americans don't want to go in there anyway and breath the putrid Obama air.

  6. There was absolutely no reason to place barriers around this memorial except political theater by Obama regime. Capitol Police are responsible for guarding this, and they are still on the job. Park Police are reponsible, and are just an arm of the Obama regime. Disgraceful bunch of anti-American facists are running our government.

  7. It is time for the Country as a whole to stand up and recall all elections that put these jackasses in to congress. then it time to start the impeachment process on obama. then bring all of them up on federal charges for crimes against the USA!!!

  8. Hanging them, en masse, would be a quicker solution, and would pretty much end any hope of hem running again. The monuments and parks belong to "we, the people". We don't need their "permission" to go into any of them. Props to the Vets.

  11. This is more "make the people suffer so we can blame the GOP" tactics from the Obama regime just like the Obama sequester.
These Memorials require virtually NO staff and are open air, walk through areas.
The people are on to his shenanigans and teleprompter rhetoric!

  12. Obama knew these brave veterans were visiting today--the trip had been planned for months and permission was denied by Obama. He has absolutely NO REGARD for the brave generation that fought for our freedoms. The barriers were erected for the sole purpose of denigrating our WW2 vets. This "President" is a completely immoral sociopath.

  14. I wish they had worn their WW2 uniforms for the full effect.Grenades on their belts and rifles wouldn't have hurt either.
