  2. I'm sure that if they were able to serve quality food with more haste and a better environment, they would still be open. You can't blame the city for poor hiring and management decisions.

  3. They must have not been able to accept food stamps, or it took them to long to get their money from the Government.

  4. There are so many places to eat in Salisbury that I've often wondered how most have stayed open as long as they have.

It's not like there's plenty of good paying jobs around here.

  5. I do not know for sure - but I heard that UNOS might be closing also.

There is a lot to be said about this comment.

That is the main reason most restaurants fail in Salisbury it is due to poor cleanliness and a lack of updating and remodeling.

  7. I figured some imbeciles would make their typical low class comments. more peeps out work, one less business. for what ever the reason, think of others before stupidity falls out of your mouth.

  8. Come on chick-fil-a. Take that spot!

  9. I thought it was owned by Dennis Dempsey.

  10. I ate there, and was surprised at the miniature chicken parts. Popeye's is much larger. I know from working in chicken processing plants that the Colonel's recipe demanded certain size parts to make the recipe work consistently, but maybe that has been changed since he passed.

    Shame.

    Hello, Chick Filet! Please?

  11. Norm Conway should get some blame as well. He's our delegate and has not made attracting jobs a priority at all.

  12. KFC south had the worst customer service of any restaurant in Salisbury, this is no surprise.

  13. Chick Fil A is coming to S Salisbury, waiting on permits.

  14. I'm sorry for the people who are losing jobs, but I think the fried chicken market here is pretty well saturated.

  15. Unos looks busy to me, and with the hotel next door I don't see them failing.

Up until YOUR comment, I didn't see any low class statements. You would do well to heed your own advice.

YOUR inability to recognize stupidity would put you in the imbeciles category.

  19. Cracker Barrel wanted the spot where UNOS is in the first place. I hope now it can now happen. Much better food and more reasonable.

  20. The Popeye's on South Salisbury should close also, that place is so dirty. While I'm at it we stopped going to Sonic because every time we got a order it was cold and you could tell it had been sitting there awhile. That's Nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Crackle Barrel would never want where Unos is... way off the highway in a small town. As for Unos I wouldnt care if they closed. We ate there once when they first opened and food was not good.

  22. I love UNO'S Chicago Pizza! I just can't afford to eat out in this economy, and if the previous poster's price is true, then I REALLY can't afford it!

I'll make my own for ten bucks and eat it for 3 days.

  24. 8:18 you are so stupid its funny. that the best you can do?

  25. Sorry to hear more people will be out of work. It isn't good for anyone.

Speaking of Sonic, I used to go there all the time for Rte. 44 drink. They got my order right almost all the time. However, over the last year the service has gotten very bad, the place is dirty, and getting my Rte. 44 drink has been all but impossible. Four out of five times, the order is wrong. I have given tips and the order is still wrong. I have stopped going there. The service is poor, the quality is poor, and frankly the staff is terrible!

  26. Looks like just another nail in the coffin for salisbury.....you all sit here and take cheap shots ad talk crap...Wake up...this area is falling fast and no the election no matter who won woould have changed that. The eastern shore mess has been coming for years and now its quickly sinking the area and taking you all with it. So laugh while you can im sure the people who just became unemployed arent....

  27. This KFC has the WORST pathetic service and attitudes you can imagine. NO MANAGEMENT whatsoever, I called this years ago, it's a wonder it took this long. Heck they would often times not have chicken at 6:00 pm, at night HELLO!!!!

NO, it's not. But it is good enough for the likes of you.

  29. CHILDREN! somebody needs a time out.

  30. This has nothing to do with city leadership and everything to do with horrible management and market saturation.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Darwin's theory and capitalism at it's best!

  32. I eat here often. The service is absolutely horrible. They are rude and slow.

I love how so many places allow employees to just take their sweet ass time to get peoples orders together or rang up.

People are scared to death to move their ass a little.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Why would you eat somewhere "often" that is rude and slow? Are you lying? or just plain stupid?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Has anyone noticed all of the food places that are opening in and around Seagull Plaza? This KFC will not be missed, much better options now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't care for some of the elected officials But none are to blame for the closing of KFC, if people don't spend money at a business the business will go out of business. KFC had to see this coming months ago and did nothing to improve or to attack patrons. The only people to blame are the managers / owners of this particular KFC.

  36. My family ate at KFC a few weeks ago and I watched the girl who was fixing my onion rings have her fingernails all in the onion separating the rings. NO GLOVES and dirty fingernails. I spoke to the manager and she was very nice but offered no excuse other than she would talk to her. I in the meantime could not eat my food knowing they were allowed to handle food that way.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Going into any restaurant and having a big argument with management about their food or service should not be confused with leadership. There is no connection between the two.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Here is an ideal cook for your family...fat americans..eating at kfc three nights a week and pizza the other four...learn how to be providers and stop depending on the processed chickens and biscuits, then you wouldn't have to worry about dirty fingernails and dirty places to eat at... LAZY FAT AMERICANS....

    ReplyDelete
  39. Not surprised by this news. The employees there had the WORST attitudes EVER. Rarely looked at or acknowledged you...acted as if it was such a chore for them to do their job to serve you, not to mention your order was never correct.

    ReplyDelete
  40. funny you all are arguing over fast food places! typical lower shore wouldn't know decent food if it hit you in the face

    ReplyDelete
  41. Teh free market at work.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Another one getting ready to go is One Fish Two Fish. Bought a sandwich there Friday soggy with grease and overpriced last trip there.

    ReplyDelete
  43. could have something to do with what they serve. fried chicken.
i wouldn't eat fried chicken from anywhere. fat filled crap.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Salisbury has too many places to eat vs nobody has the money to eat out anymore.

  45. Everybody knows you won that election, Joe.

  46. Poor help and poor food closed that hole !!!

  47. I too thought it was operated by Delmarva Dempsey, must have changed hands very recently. That said, the other KFC off Rt 50 is just as bad. Attitudes, services, food. Place never has chicken and always gets the order wrong and the employees there for the most part are brain dead. It really is pathetic. Yum products and Dempsey should be ashamed of this store. He also owns the store in Cambridge which is probably the worst KFC I have ever been to in my entire life. People with bad attitudes just standing around. I sat in their drive through for 10 minutes one night watching someone at the window socializing with the car in front of me. Good riddance.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bad news, those employees lose a job and go on assistance. Good news, lower crimes by reduced patronage around the university. They do not support the torture of chickens. What about the perdue name on the business school? move along, nothing to see here. And also, now chicken will be served at the dining hall three time a week instead of two!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sadly, bad service is a common theme in Salisbury. Bad attitudes are abundant and few people care. Welcome to Salisbury. No mayor is gonna change whats been happening year after year after year. Morale and attitude on Delmarva is poor and standoffish.

  50. We are changing things for the better, people! Local restaurants have never done better. The cream is rising to the top. Places with terrible service and chains are dying and the local places are BOOMING! Hooray for Maya Bella, Mojo's, Main Roots, Evo, etc!
