Lil Wayne: I'm not stepping on US flag in video

NEW YORK (AP) -- Lil Wayne says he wasn't intentionally stepping on the American flag when shooting his latest video.

Video of the rapper from his music video shoot for the song "God Bless Amerika" hit the Web on Monday. In it, he appears to be stepping on top of the American flag. But he said in a Facebook post Tuesday the flag on the ground will not appear in the clip.

He writes it was never his intention "to desecrate the flag of the United States of America."

  1. Maybe he thinks an atrocity committed during his video might compensate for no talent.

  4. That piece of $%#@. He has to be the biggest idiot in the world. He could have took the time or those ghetto people in the back ground could have picked it up. He reminds me of a muslim with gold teeth with baggy pants. That video looks like it was shot on church street.

  5. Get off it folks. That flag is an object that contains no power. No authority. It is multi colored cloth that is assembled in a pattern. What it represents no longer exists. What Mr, Wayne is fighting against are the same uptight people that would say "ooooohhhhhh the flag".

People worry about stuff that doesn't matter. If Lil' Wayne whipped his butt with the flag who cares. It would be the least offensive thing I have seen on TV in a long time.

    1. That flag contains no power or authority? Why don't you pack up and move to a country with a flag that does have some power then?

  9. lol, here's whats funny. The same folks who scream about freedom and the american way, think that it's unamerican to vote for for anyone besides who they think is the right candidate. Too funny.

Anywho, why do you people care? Lil Wayne is crap. Most people, even folks like me who love hip hop, think he is crap. Instead of spouting garbage here, how about you write Viacom a letter and let them know you are boycotting all of their stations (including Nickelodeon) until they cease promoting crap "artists" like Lil Lame.

  11. I've not heard of this guy until the other night (and I hate his type of "music") but I don't think he intentionally desecrated the flag. I think he just didn't know any better. He's removed it from the video and apologized so I forgive him. He learned something and he took it to heart and corrected it.

  12. After watching the entire video, it's clear that him walking on the flag was intentional. Not only did his flagholders drop it in unison, it fell against his calves, so he felt it as soon as it fell. He then proceeded to look down at it and tread on it repeatedly while his flagholders stayed at the top of their ladders, making no attempt to recover the flag.

  13. Lil Wayne is an illuminati wannabe patsy. This was a planned leak, a litmus test so to speak. To bait the race waters and track the responses through social media ( we know they're watching everything), also to gauge the remnants of American pride and patriotism. They want us at each others throats over a first amendment right that intentional or not, this scrub has the right to express. Not to mention all the free PR this baphomet worshiping slime is getting to boost slumping sales.

  14. That was apart of the video until the uproar. Why have the whole hood positioned right in the shot behind where they were holding the flag. He's wack anyway. Back to our crooked government.

  17. 12:35 Is the most informed response I saw. America needs to wake up to the true enemy that controls most of the Democrats and a growing majority of Republicans. The whole system is rotten to the core and is using the MSM as their propaganda and mind manipulation machine.
