BURBAGE REZONING AT OCEAN PINES OVERTURNED IN COURT

This is just in.

The Worcester County Circuit Court has rejected the commercial rezoning that Jack Burbage got the County Commissioners to give him last summer for his property just south of the Ocean Pines subdivision, where the produce stand and nursery are located. Much of the property is being farmed, and the scam about AGH building a medical facility there didn’t cut it, because that’s pure poppycock.

A reader in the Pines who provided this report believes that Bud and Sonny have already heard from JB, and he is not a mellow fellow.

  1. Good News! I am very happy to hear the Court rejected the commercial rezoning decision.

  3. The judge was from elsewhere, across the Bay I heard.

  4. Is this the same property that a few years back couldn't be rezoned from agriculture to commercial so the owner opened a hog farm?

  5. Love it. He a a few good ole boys in his circle have gotten away with bloody murder for decades. Good for Worcester County to have a judge with some sand to stand up to bullies like Jack.

  7. "Scam" is an understatement. Both Burbage and his attorney are members of the AGH Board and know that it has no plan to use his property. They used their clout to get the AGH operating officials to shill before the County Commissioners, again.

If rezoned it would beome another strip shopping mecca, which is not needed with all the vacant space around Ocean Pines and the congestion on route 589 that is getting much worse each year.

  8. 12:20 -

Burbage and his buddies said it was going to be used by AGH, not by "business", idiot.

  9. There are plenty of vacant commercial structures in that area 12:2O both for sale and for rent. Same with vacant land already zoned commercial. You want to build a commericial building then purchase land already zoned for it is the way I see it.

    Thank you.

Hope you don't have dealings any time soon with Bud C., Sonny B., or the Jackass.

  12. Looks like the bonanza empire that Jack's father built is now slip-sliding away!

  13. Gotta believe that other members of the AGH gang are involved in this smart money scam.
