Oak Harbor City Council 1-15-2013 2nd Amendment PLEASE VIEW

Council Members ask Veteran to leave chamber, then excuse themselves. This is a must see video. Take the time to watch it all the way through. It's important.

  1. For once, civil heads did prevail. I hope the people of Oak Harbor will send the council member that walked out his official walking papers.

  2. Yeah give him permanent walking papers what a damn shame.

  3. I watched this video..did anyone else notice that the tone and actions of all included are different than in the Salisbury meetings? The mayor was very level headed and explained why things were right or wrong. He never bashed or belittled anyone just gave the fact. I hope this is something we can look forward to when Joe gets elected. On a side not I did have to laugh that the attorney's name was Grant Weed. Didn't WA just legalize pot?

  4. I just got an email from Jacob "Jake" Day begging to contribute to his campaign. The email shows his treasurer to be Jordan A. Gilmore, Treasurer. Ironically Jordan Gilmore is an attorney on the downtown plaza with the address of:

    100 E. Main St., Suite 503
    Salisbury, MD 21801

I did a little back ground check and Jacob Day just used Jordan Gilmore as his divorce attorney.

Not only is he recently divorced he proudly mentions "his lovely fiance, Liz" on his campaign website. He just got divorced and now he already has a fiance??? This guy can't even manage his marital affairs and he wants us to believe he can handle the day to day business of the city!!

What other skeletons does this guy have in his closet?

He also has numerous traffic infractions including having his drivers license suspended. I hope he doesn't have to drive any city vehicle because he would be a major liability. He has one speeding case that is currently active.

This guy will be spending more time in court than attending city council meetings. This is definitely not the candidate I will be voting for!!

  5. Great video - if only all government meetings throughout our nation were so cool and level headed.

    And God Bless the veteran.

    1. You and 1:51 need to get a life. I know quite a few people that have separated, ended their relationship, and have just waited for the legalities of a divorce to play out. They didn't end their life and not meet new people. I know someone that is married and has been through 2 different girlfriends and is engaged to someone new. You don't know the circumstances of his personal life so why don't you stay out of it. Speeding? Give me a break...you all are on here everytime there is a post about speed cameras and how police have better things to do, but now, you will use the fact that someone got a speeding ticket as a reflection of their character? Sounds like most people on this blog must have an issue with their own character.

  8. I've lived in MD so long, around so many Progressive idiots....I had forgotten the rest of the Country might still have so common sense....all hope is not lost....

  9. Didn't mind that man going overseas and risking his life in the (supposed) defense of our country and what it stands for, but as soon as he comes home -- wounded! -- they are now AFRAID???? The part about the oath should strike a chord with EVERY real American, since the Patriot Act and the NDAA are in direct contradiction of the Bill of Rights and the philosophy and history of our nation. But keeping oaths and promises is not in the nature of politicians. Hence, our current position morally, economically, and politically. Keep cheering our "leaders". All the way up to the point where the door slams behind you....

  10. Very impressive...too bad we don't have a president who sees things the Constitutional way as did the mayor. I'd vote for that man for anything just on the basis of the way he stood up for the veteran and for his country, and for honoring the oath he himself took.

  11. thank God for all those who had commonsense and took their oaths seriously. the 2 turn coats need to be booted out. mayor dudley was great and certainly the fine young veteran. long live the 2nd amendment.

  12. Now that is how government it SUPPOSED to act.

The mayor handled it very well. Those two council members broke their oaths. I would think that would be grounds for dismissing them from council.

And this video would be a great teaching tool. It would show others just what their limitations are in regards to enacting motions, laws, policies or whatever.

A perfect example of what some people who gain a little power thinks they can do whatever they feel.

As both the mayor and the towns attorney explained, it would be enforceable and illegal.

And I would hope that law enforcement learned something from this video as well.
