Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher and a woman believed to be his girlfriend are dead, after Belcher apparently shot and killed her, then drove to Arrowhead Stadium and shot and killed himself.

A statement released by the Chiefs said only, “We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.” But PFT has confirmed with multiple sources that it was, in fact, Belcher who was involved in the incident.

Belcher apparently shot his girlfriend at around 8 a.m. on Saturday and then committed suicide a short time later.

  2. Wow. I read about this earlier. When is someone in authority going to notice there is a pattern with these sport figures.

They are paid a whole lot of money. They get in trouble with the law, ie. drugs, violence, murder, etc.

Yet, are there any REAL consequences for these types?

I know there are a few high profile cases like Tyson and others but it seems like it happens all the time with little punishment.

I know if I had a lot of money I would expect to get away with things too. (eyeroll)

Somebody step up to the plate and give these people some backbone.

Seems like some are ghetto thugs who hit the lottery.

  6. I love how all of you are so heartless about the situation. Coming from someone who has been a loved one to the one that took their life. I think you ALL need to quit being so racial and judgemental. You don't know what's going on in someones life whether they have money or not!! It's not all about the all mighty dollar!
