Establishment Dems, progressives rally behind man with history of sexist remarks
A slew of prominent liberals are standing behind a Democratic congressional candidate in Michigan who ran a misogynistic, drug-enthused blog.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.), and Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer are among the top backers of Democratic congressional hopeful Jon Hoadley. Prior to his political career, Hoadley ran a college blog in which he called women "breeders," discussed his interest in crystal meth, and referred to sexual partners as "victims," a recent New York Post report revealed. While his Democratic primary opponent refused to endorse him over the posts, Hoadley's national endorsers have not pulled their support and have yet to address the scandal.
Hoadley's blog, titled "Rambling Politics," was hosted on social networking site LiveJournal. In a string of posts between 2004 and 2005, the Democrat detailed attending a gay bar to "learn about crystal meth." Hoadley, who is gay, called women "breeders"—a derogatory term used to refer to heterosexual couples who can reproduce—and referred to his sexual partners as "victims." The Democrat also alluded to a "four year old wearing a thong" when describing a friend's wedding. His campaign called the writings "bad college poetry" in a comment to the Post.

Catholic Group Calls on Biden to Denounce Vandalism, Violence Against Churches
A Catholic political advocacy group is calling on presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden to speak out on a rash of violence and vandalism against churches across the nation.
"Catholic churches across America are literally burning, and Joe Biden has said nothing. Leading members of the Democratic Party have fueled a climate of hate against Catholics, and these attacks have now led to acts of vandalism and violence," CatholicVote president Brian Burch saidThursday.
"These attacks on the Church raise serious questions about the commitment of Joe Biden, a self-professed Catholic, to stand up to the rising climate of anti-Catholicism across the country."
Between July 10 and July 16, Catholic institutions from Massachusetts to Colorado reported several instances of vandalism, with some acts endangering the lives of congregants. In Florida, a 24-year-old man set fire to a church while several congregants were inside preparing to celebrate Mass. Police arrested the man and charged him with attempted second-degree murder and arson.

Lindsey Graham says FBI lied to Senate about Steele dossier
'This is a second lie. This is a second crime. They lied to the FISA court'
Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Sunday that newly declassified FBI documents from 2018 show that the bureau lied to the Senate Intelligence Committee about Christopher Steele's anti-Trump dossier.
"This document clearly shows that the FBI was continuing to mislead regarding the reliability of the Steele dossier," Graham said during an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures." "The FBI did to the Senate Intelligence Committee what the Department of Justice and FBI had previously done to the FISA court: mischaracterize, mislead, and lie."

For Biden Family, a History of Tax Problems
Hunter Biden hit with $450,000 tax lien last month, the latest in a series of tax problems for Biden family members
Hunter Biden was hit with a $450,000 lien in July over delinquent state income taxes, which he paid off in six days despite having no discernible income. Last year, he told the court judge in his paternity case that he was broke and unemployed.
The younger Biden owed $238,562.76 in state income taxes from 2017 and $215,328.16 in state income taxes from 2018, according to records from the District of Columbia’s Office of Tax and Revenue. The District of Columbia filed a $453,890 lien against him on July 9.
The lien is the latest in a series of substantial tax problems members of the Biden family have faced over the years, from Joe's brother James’s six-figure tax debt in 2015 to multiple liens filed against Joe's sister Valerie and her husband. It also raises new questions about Hunter Biden’s finances, which have been scrutinized during the election cycle. The lien follows controversy over Hunter's high-paying consulting work for companies in Ukraine and China, and a high-profile child support case in which the younger Biden claimed he was in "significant debt" and refused to turn over court-ordered financial records.
A spokesman for D.C.'s Office of the Chief Financial Officer confirmed that Hunter Biden’s lien was released on July 15 after the "tax issue was resolved." The office declined to say whether Biden had paid off the debt.

EPA to rescind methane regulations for oil and gas
The Trump administration is eliminating Obama-era rules
The Environmental Protection Agency is preparing to adopt new rules that would rescind regulations for methane-gas emissions, including ending requirements that oil-and-gas producers have systems and procedures to detect methane leaks in their systems, senior administration officials said.
The rule changes will apply to wells drilled since 2016 and going forward, and remove the largest pipelines, storage sites and other parts of the transmission system from EPA oversight of smog and greenhouse-gas emissions. The changes also ease reporting requirements for the industry and, for some facilities, how often a plant must check for leaks of other pollutants, the officials said.

Looters, vandals sweep through Chicago’s Magnificent Mile after police shooting
About 100 people were arrested in Chicago and 13 police officers were injured during a night of looting and vandalism — hours after cops shot a young man who had fired at them, according to reports.
The mayhem began about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, when cops responded to reports of a man with a gun in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side and located a person who fit the description near Moran Park, the Chicago Tribune reported.
While running away from police, the suspect turned around and fired at them. The officers returned fire, wounding the gunman, who was transported to University of Chicago Hospital in unknown condition, according to the newspaper.
Police Superintendent David Brown said during a press briefing Monday that the looting was sparked as a result of misinformation that cops had shot and wounded a child, WGN reported.

China Stands Accused of Manufacturing the COVID-19 Virus
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus identified as the causative agent, SARS-CoV-2, has been consistently described as “novel” because of its unique structural features.
Also since the onset of the pandemic, the conventional wisdom concerning the origin of SARS-CoV-2 has been that it was a naturally-occurring outbreak, acquired by humans after exposure to infected animals, a conclusion aggressively promoted by the Chinese Communist Party, supported by some Western scientists and endlessly regurgitated by the left-leaning global media.
That narrative is not only unproven, but much of the scientific data being used to buttress it are faulty, perhaps even fabricated.

New York Times: Wall Street Backs Joe Biden
Wall Street’s many campaign donors are lining up behind Joe Biden, not the incumbent President of the United States, according to the New York Times.
Under the August 9 headline, “The Wallets of Wall Street Are With Joe Biden, if Not the Hearts,” three reporters wrote:
While Wall Street financiers tend to be more socially liberal, they have collectively swung back and forth between parties. Data from the Center for Responsive Politics show the securities and investment community donating more to President George W. Bush in 2004, and then to Mr. Obama in 2008, and then to Mitt Romney in 2012, followed by Mrs. Clinton in 2016, than to their respective presidential rivals.
This year, it’s Mr. Biden. Financial industry cash flowing to Mr. Biden and outside groups supporting him shows him dramatically out-raising the president, with $44 million compared with Mr. Trump’s $9 million.
The donors are already pressuring Biden to pick a business-friendly candidate for vice president, and Biden is signaling a hands-off policy toward Wall Street:
In recent meetings with donors, Mr. Biden has said that while the wealthy are going to have to “do more,” the details of his tax hikes are still being hammered out … in July, the candidate spoke of the need for corporate America to “change its ways.” But the solution, he said, would not be legislative.
“I love Bernie, but I’m not Bernie Sanders. I don’t think 500 billionaires are the reason why we’re in trouble,” Biden said in 2018

Nolte: Magnificent Mile Riots, Looting Hit Democrat-Run Chicago
“Hundreds of people swept through the Magnificent Mile and other parts of downtown Chicago early Monday, smashing windows, looting stores,” reports the Chicago Tribune.
There was also gunfire and violence against police officers. As of this writing, downtown Chicago is all but closed to those trying to get to work on a Monday morning.
The details reveal just how organized this was….
The looting and rioting started just after midnight and lasted “nearly five hours.” Get this…
“People darted through broken store windows and doors along Michigan Avenue carrying shopping bags full of merchandise,” the Tribune reports, adding, “Cars dropped off more people as the crowd grew. At least one U-Haul van was seen pulling up.”
A U-Haul.
People being dropped off like it was just another morning at Looting School.

Exclusive — Alex Azar on Taiwan: ‘Very Important Partner of United States’
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar told Breitbart News exclusively he views his trip to Taiwan as a message from the United States to the world that Taiwan is and has been a “very important partner” with the U.S. when it comes to global health security.
Azar touched down in Taiwan on Sunday, marking the first trip from this high-ranking of a U.S. official since the United States shifted formal diplomatic recognition in the late 1970s under former Democrat President Jimmy Carter from Taiwan’s government, the Republic of China, to the People’s Republic of China (PRC)—run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on the mainland in Beijing.
“Taiwan has been a very important partner of the United States, but also of the world community as a model of transparent, collaborative, and cooperative approaches to public health throughout the last several years, but especially during the COVID-19 crisis,” Azar told Breitbart News on Friday afternoon, ahead of his trip. “It’s important that I go to reaffirm the partnership that the United States has with Taiwan in public health, but also to hold up Taiwan as a model to the types of behaviors that are important in the international community.”

Navy SEAL Boss Cuts Ties with Museum Over Kaepernick Dog Attack Video
Naval Special Warfare Command is suspending its support of the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida days after a video showing SEAL dogs attacking a man wearing a Colin Kaepernick jersey in a demo there went viral on social media.
The museum is conducting a review of the demonstration, which showed military working dogs attacking a man in Kaepernick's San Francisco 49ers jersey. Kaepernick famously refused to stand during "The Star-Spangled Banner," citing protest of racial inequality.

Ocean City Trump Rally This Saturday Morning At 9 AM
Saturday August 15th, Ocean City MAGA rally . . . the most fun you can have at 9 AM on an August morning, and possibly the best food you’ve had ever, all while standing up for what you believe in! It is now or never, we have run out of time . . . we MUST win this election, we MUST take back the house. If you haven’t signed up yet, think of what a democrat-ruled America will be like for your children and grandchildren. The ‘silent majority’ is losing the majority, because silence is a losing strategy. Join us on Saturday!
Please keep signs tasteful, easy to read, and to the point. The cars will be passing us by slowly, but they will not have time to ‘read’ long messages . . . stick to things like TRUMP, GREATEST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY. DEMOCRATS, RIOTERS and CRIMINALS, OH MY. DO DEMOCRATS HATE AMERICA??? TRUMP, NOT PERFECT, BUT PERFECT FOR THE JOB. FAKE NEWS, CAMPAIGNING FOR DEMOCRATS. Again, keep it short, relevant, witty, large block letters easy to read.
If you prefer, bring a flag or a Trump banner/sign rather than a homemade sign.
Stay on the grass, do not get close to the roadway, do not extend your arms/sign over the roadway pavement, do not wave your sign or gesture at drivers in a taunting manor.
RE the social, after the rally we will take the short walk to Caribbean Joe’s pool bar . . . the complimentary lunch buffet is for rally participants only, and will feature the best pulled pork barbque and cole slaw that you’ve ever tasted (according to Joe the chef). And please respect the bar/motel policy re the virus regulations (have your mask with you for when you need it).
Remember, the entrance to our parking area is on Route 611, about 50 yards south of Route 50 (it comes up quick, look for our signs and volunteers). And do not park in front of Pizza Tugo.
Caribbean Joes is located at the Alamo Motel, the historic FIRST hotel in the Ocean City area, 12614 Ocean Gateway, Ocean City, MD 21842, Eastbound side of Route 50/Ocean Gateway, next to a Holiday Inn Express, between Keyser Point Road and Route 611.

Willie Brown: Kamala Harris Should Decline to Be Joe Biden’s Running Mate
Former San Francisco Mayor and California State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown has written that his former protégé, Kamala Harris, should decline to be former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate if she is given the opportunity.
In his latest column for the San Francisco Chronicle, Brown — who dated Harris, and gave her a start in politics — says that she should ask to be Biden’s attorney general instead:
If Joe Biden offers the vice presidential slot to Sen. Kamala Harris, my advice to her would be to politely decline.
Harris is a tested and proven campaigner who will work her backside off to get Biden elected. That said, the vice presidency is not the job she should go for — asking to be considered as attorney general in a Biden administration would be more like it.
Being picked for the vice presidency is obviously a huge honor, and if Biden wins, Harris would make history by being the first woman to hold the job.
But the glory would be short-lived, and historically, the vice presidency has often ended up being a dead end. For every George H.W. Bush, who ascended from the job to the presidency, there’s an Al Gore, who never got there.

Hasbro put out a troll doll that 'gasps and giggles' when a button on its 'private area' is pushed
The toymaker has agreed to pull the product from shelves after massive backlash
Toymaker Hasbro has agreed to pull a new Trolls doll from shelves after outraged parents launched online campaigns exposing how the doll "gasps and giggles" when a button located on its "private area" is pushed, with critics saying that it is an attempt to groom children.
A petition calling for the "Trolls World Tour Giggle and Sing Poppy" doll to be removed from shelves has amassed nearly 330,000 signatories as of this writing. The petition reads:
Our society is conditioning our children to think pedophilia is ok. This Trolls World Tour doll named Poppy has a button on her private area under her skirt. When you push this button on the doll's private she gasps and giggles. This is not okay for a child's toy! This toy needs to be removed from our stores. What will this toy make our innocent, impressionable children think? That it's fun when someone touches your private area? That pedophilia and child molestation are ok? It's not ok! It's not fun! It's damaging and has long term affects on a child's mental/physical health! Sign this petition to get this toy removed from shelves and help #SaveTheChildren! Children are our future and WE are their voice!
Utah mother Jamie Nelson Cornaby demonstrated the sounds the doll makes in an online video, saying "to me, it's just like sexual sounds, and it's so disturbing."

NASA goes woke, gets brutally mocked for removing 'actively harmful' names of galaxies, stars
'Renaming black holes will end racism. Guaranteed'
NASA is going woke.
The space agency announced this week they would engage in political correctness when referring to planets, stars, galaxies, and other cosmic bodies that have been given what some people might consider "actively harmful" names.
"As the scientific community works to identify and address systemic discrimination and inequality in all aspects of the field, it has become clear that certain cosmic nicknames are not only insensitive, but can be actively harmful," NASA said in a press release on Wednesday.
"NASA is examining its use of unofficial terminology for cosmic objects as part of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion," the agency added.

Democratic NY City councilman says hydroxychloroquine saved his life, thanks Trump for advocating drug
Hydroxychloroquine has another believer
The drug hydroxychloroquine was instantly transformed into a political football the moment President Donald Trump said that the malaria medication "could be a game changer" at a coronavirus press briefing on March 19. Since being hopeful about the drug, Trump's adversaries have been completely against hydroxychloroquine, while his supporters are optimistic that the medicine could help fight against COVID-19. A Democratic politician has come out to proclaim that hydroxychloroquine saved his life after a near-death battle with coronavirus.
Democratic New York City Councilman Paul Vallone credits hydroxychloroquine with saving his life as he fought against the lethal respiratory disease. Vallone, who represents Queens, told the New York Post that HCQ "basically saved me."
Vallone was extremely ill with coronavirus in March. The situation was dire because he already suffers from sarcoidosis, an incurable auto-immune disease that mostly affects the lungs and lymph glands.
"We were in panic mode when I went down because I didn't have a lot of immune response," Vallone said. "I needed something to stay alive."
