Al Sharpton is facing backlash on social media after choosing to evoke Amy Coney Barrett’s adopted children to make a point about what he considered a lack of diversity in the nomination event audience.
Sharpton said “I was glad her two kids did come out, I couldn’t find too many other people of color in that audience.”
One Twitter user wrote “Nasty, vile and mean. What else should we expect from the Rev. Al Sharpton?”
Emmy wrote “The left is the only side that scans a group for skin color and then makes assumptions based solely on that. Isn’t that the literal definition of, i dunno, racism?”
Another wrote “How come you didnt comment about the lack of color when all the clerks who worked for Ginsburg, were lined up. There was a lot of whiteness there”
Another wrote “Race Hustler gonna race hustle”
Another wrote “Race, race, race. Everything is about race to these grifters.”

RBG was a Supreme Court justice for 27 years. Over that time she hired over 150 law clerks. All were either white men or white women. No blacks or latinos among them. Should she have sued herself for discrimination?

May you be one of the ones investigated and impeached, exiled, tossed on an immigrant canoe, and sent back to what ever country your family originated from, a disgrace to real religion and a disgrace as a human being. The only thing he ever does is go to the funerals of black thugs who are killed in the midst of their crimes, and mostly those families have even asked him not to attend their children's services but he ignores their wishes, as it's more 15 minutes of media attention.

ReplyDeleteSupreme Court justices and circuit court judges hire 4 law clerks every year. RBG was on the bench for 40 years (27 at SCOTUS and 13 at DC Circuit). That's 160 law clerks. During that time, she hired only ONE black law clerk, meaning that only 0.6% of her hires were black.
