Professional sports were put on hold earlier this year as the Wuhan coronavirus made its way over from China. The silver lining of it all was that at least patriotic Americans wouldn't have to suffer through millionaire athletes disrespecting the country that made their decadent lifestyles possible by kneeling every time the national anthem came on. Well, that silver lining has ended as professional sports are now returning and more ungrateful players than ever are taking a knee in order to show their disdain for the country.
The first game of the NBA returned on Thursday in a matchup between the Utah Jazz and the New Orleans Pelicans. Every player, coach, and even the referee took a knee as the national anthem began to play. The players wore shirts with the words "Black Lives Matter" emblazoned on the front.

ReplyDeleteWe the people need to protest to get politics out of sports. A national boycott is in order. I do not need to take my views from a over paid athlete that never finished high school. You should be happy that this country is stupid enough to pay you millions to play a game while I work for peanuts each day.

Wow what crop of losers. If I were them I'd be ashamed because the REAL black heroes, Tuskagee Airmen, Red Ball express, Joe Lewis were not afraid to show they had the right stuff. These dud loads these days are only good at talking like Clay.
I don't watch their clown show on TV because I've been where the black heroes were and it was an everyday job for them, sometimes trying to protect me. I'm hats off to those guys and turn my back to todays heroes on a ball field. When I have to be near this spectacle of idiocracy I look away and spit on the ground.

ReplyDeleteI once turned down a college basketball scholarship. I thought it was a stupid game. I still do, because it still is, only made worse by its thinking of itself that it's more than just an indoor sport played professionally mostly by very tall people.

ReplyDeleteFortunately I won’t miss out on anything because I never have supported this type of crap. Years ago when I wasn’t thinking as clearly, I didn’t mute the sports broadcast after or during the news. I was thinking enough to realize they weren’t reporting on the game that evening or night before, but talking about what members of whatever team had been arrested and charged with assault, assault with a deadly weapon, or more. So I figured I won’t support any National Felony League. I know the are many good, intelligent, members to be admired, but like anything else the bad always stands out the most.
