Phillips Crab House is temporarily closed, effective immediately. Unfortunately, we have had a member of our staff test positive for COVID-19. We are closing to thoroughly sanitize our facility and are in contact with the health department to take every step needed to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff. This is our absolute top priority.
We are a family here at Phillips Crab House and we will get through this together as a team. We hope you’ll join us in wishing a speedy and complete recovery to our staff member. We appreciate your support and your trust as we navigate through this, and we look forward to serving you again soon.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us directly at Steve.Phillips@PhillipsFoods.com.

Another dollars before lives establishment bites the dust!
ReplyDeleteSo send the person home until they don't show symptoms and keep going. This "virus" isn't what they are saying it is. It's the flu. We are out of flu season so stop with the shut down of businesses. If s group of people can burn, steal, vandalize and run around unabided by the law then don't come at a business owner trying to make a living in your socialist rules. As for our " conservative leaders" stand the eff up for what is right and stop rolling over to this leftist mob because you're affraid of what will happen. Remember you're a PUBLIC SERVANT YOU SERVE US, not the other way around. We put you in office and if need be we can and will remove you.
ReplyDeleteNever thought I'd see this. Phillips is no mon and pop bar, can't imagine how many employees this involves. I see Ocean City having a serious second wave and major closure.
ReplyDeleteIs there a restaurant in Ocean City that doesn't have a COVID-19 positive person or customer. . I will wait. . . Oh nevermind the answer is NO!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Another positive. Let’s all stay home! Forever and ever.
ReplyDeleteNo bus, no Tram, no bar, no restaurant (Phillips especially). Except for Carribian Joe's there really isn't that much to do in Ocean City so why go there. Go to Walmart instead.
ReplyDeleteNow Ocean City brains are thinking of using Puerto Rico staffing because "they are Americans". Does anyone realize how lame that thought is? Just go to their island and learn how foolish that is.
Fortunately, the BEST part of this area is during the Winter.
Agreed
DeleteNever eating there again!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is gonna get good! I predict OC will be sent back to phase one.
ReplyDeletePlease open up! I'm a grown adult and willing to have a good time. I've had the vooo doo virus at maybe 6.0 and am immune, can't infect you and can't infect you. So is everyone else.
ReplyDeleteOpen up up.
Brice and Shirley would roll over in their grave. I know for a fact many other businesses have far more tested positive and are staying open. One has threatened the employee and manager if word gets out they will be sued under a non disclosure agreement they signed when hired. The M&CC were apprised in closed session there are also some city employees off with positive tests, but you don’t hear that huh? I don’t know why a few close, there are 10 fold choosing to ignore it entirely.
ReplyDeleteWhy worry? We're all going to get it in some form or another, and 99.5% of us will be fine. Just STFU.
ReplyDeleteGod!
No business closes voluntarily!
ReplyDeleteThis is all BS, the health department is behind this.
"Staff tested positive" is mostly an excuse. With all of the false positives, every single business will have staff members testing positive.
These are political hit jobs.
They will need to sell more tacos!! This establishment has slipped so far from its origin! Overpriced and food quality poor not what the original business was.....far from it!!
