How many South Korean coronavirus tests have been used in Maryland? No one will say.

Maryland officials continue to provide incomplete information about the much-publicized purchase of coronavirus tests from a South Korean company in April.

Gov. Larry Hogan again touted the deal in an excerpt from his forthcoming political memoir that was published Thursday in The Washington Post. He did a round of national TV interviews to talk about the 500,000 tests bought from the South Korean company, LabGenomics, framing the purchase as a bold decision in the face of lack of help from President Donald Trump.

But the Hogan administration has refused to say exactly how many of those tests have been put into use since the April 20 announcement.

An undisclosed number of tests were used initially for “high-priority clusters and outbreaks” said Mike Ricci, a spokesman for the Republican governor, in response to questions from The Baltimore Sun.

  1. Hopefully enough are available to send several thousand to AGH as OC strives to be a CV19 epicenter. Of course the city leadership and business owners will deny they’re necessary when they arrive to protect their cash flow.

  2. RINO claims a deal had been struck a week before the Utah offer. Has he ever had to cancel anything due to changing his mind or no longer needed. Companies even offer a better price if you find one elsewhere. But no that’s what politicians do..... waste because it is OPM.(especially being a damorat)

  3. Remember when hogan said Trump would take those test kits away, so he used the msp and NG to wisk them away and hide them? Because they werent FDA approved. Surely they could have been approved in an expeditious manor, seems that would be the the safe LEGAL way to do it. Maybe there is a more pressing reason he didnt want the FDA to get their hands on them. Maybe they were made to order, to give false positive results. What benefit's would he have to gain with false positive test results, when and where he wants them? Money? Fear? Control? Leverage? Elections? Is this about the virus or the election? Who at this point blames Trump? If ANY of this is true, would it be considered to be an act of terrorism against the citizens of MD?

  5. The hush-hush South Korean test kit caper is not Hogan's smartest maneuver.

It almost sounds like they were smuggled to avoid clearing customs. Followed by the Top Secret storage and apparent non-use, complicated by their initial FDA status. Have they received an FDA blessing yet?

It's a substantial number of kits vs. Maryland's population. Think Hogan needs to grow some transparency on this, and focus on Maryland's situation in 2020 rather than hawking his future ambitions.

  8. Bad and stupid move on hogan's part and the worst is he wasted our money on what amounted to hogan wanting to show off. I wouldn't trust those tests at all.

  9. Remember how thrilled we were when Hogan was elected. It was like our state would be a better place. All the promises Hogan made us. It sure didn’t take long for Hogan to turn into a politician. Mr. Hogan sir, you are a huge disappointment and I was a happy supporter of you. Please get that nonsense out of your mind about running the country. Let’s wait and see if we have a leader step up to the challenge.

  10. They are our allies you morons. And I can tell you personally thousands. There are testing centers all over the state. Spending the man hours to trace the origins of a COVID test to appease the Cheeto-in-Cheifs brainless followers is idiotic.

  13. Sorry I have an issue with all of Hogans latest actions. I voted for the man and he presented himself as a true Republican. Does anyone know the actual connection between his wife and the entity that sold these mask. Hogan is a Rino plane and simple. He is living in a fantasy world believing he could ever get elected president of the U.S.

  15. When were these test approved by FDA as legit? Have the test being used from this $9 MILLION MD tax payer money or from another source? How Much was the KICK BACK received by ADOLF HOGAN and his Korean wife?

NON _FDA approved test give false results and that appears what ADOLPH HOGAN is hiding.

  19. Fat boy Hogan's wife is from South Korea and we are using tests made in South Korea? How convenient. Funny how that works. My bet is she or her family made bank on this.
