New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal filed voter fraud charges Thursday against two Paterson city officials who allegedly engaged in a mail-in ballot scheme in connection to a special election in May.
Grewal levelled the charges against Paterson City Councilman Michael Jackson, Councilman-Elect Alex Mendez, and two other men after the Postal Inspection Service warned Grewal’s office that hundreds of mail-in ballots were found in a Paterson mailbox, InsiderNJ reported Thursday.
The attorney general’s Office of Public Integrity & Accountability (OPIA) began a probe after the Postal Inspection Service issued the warning. Paterson authorities decided to conduct the May 12 special election through mail-in ballots due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has reportedly killed more than 124,000 people in the U.S.

Wicomico County had people going to vote to be told that they already voted. I was one of them. i want to know how i was showing that i had already voted when i still had my ballot and i took it with me to vote! This will be happening again in November if they go ahead with the mail in voting. We are having our votes stolen from us.
ReplyDeleteWho in the hell didn't know this would happen?? We are some stupid people to allow our votes to be unaccounted. We are FOOL'S.
ReplyDeleteNaw...Mail in voting is impeccable! There's no opportunity for fraud...hey, I got a bridge to sell ya...
ReplyDeleteNothing to see here, isolated incident, just ask Pelosi or Schumer! Mail in ballots are perfectly safe from fraud!
ReplyDeleteYa think so then 'Yousa fool's,
Proofs in the pudden!(misspelling on purpose)
And so it begins. mailed-in ballots = failed ballots.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats really like mail-in ballots for how secure they are.
ReplyDeleteHad I been 6:17 I would not have left the voting facility until they let me vote!
ReplyDeleteThese people must be punished to the full extent of the law. We have got to set an example of what happens to you for messing with ballots.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans are now in the White House. How about they make a executive decision and forget the voting and swear Mr. Donald in for at least four more years.
ReplyDelete7:54 PM - It only works that way in places not ours.
ReplyDeleteAnd just how do we stop it?
ReplyDeleteLOL - just the idea of Frosh investigating LL is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has a loved one in a nursing home needs to see check with the resident to see if they received their ballot. The mailroom in the nursing home is responsible for handing out all mail.
ReplyDeleteMy mother never received her ballot but was told one was sent in as a completed ballot.
Make sure you check on nursing home ballots.!!!
On election day in 2004, my mom was at Atria in Salisbury. I stopped by to see her, as I did at least 5 times a week. We were discussing whom she should vote for. She normally voted democratic, thus cancelling my late father's vote. She asked me "Who was the guy that brought up Cheney's daughter's sexual preference?". I told her it was Kerry. She replied "Well, I'm not voting for him. That's nobody's business.". At that moment, an aide walked in and heard us talking. She looked at me and stated, "Don't you tell her who to vote for!". I looked at her and said "I'm not. AND YOU BETTER NOT,EITHER!!!".
