NASCAR’s Bubba Wallace to Race with #BlackLivesMatter Paint Scheme

NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, the sport’s only full-time black driver, will race this Wednesday at Martinsville with a #BlackLivesMatter paint scheme on the No. 43 car he drives for Richard Petty Motorsports.

The car will be painted black with the image of a black person and white person shaking hands on the hood. It will also have #BlackLivesMatter written out on the quarter panel.

Richard Petty Motorsports explained their reasoning for the color scheme in a video. The team claims that the Blackout Tuesday played a major role in deciding to go with the all black look.

  15. I’d like to know how this idiot would’ve made out in the days of Earnhardt, Bobby Allison, Cale Yarborough, etc. they would have him in the wall within 5 laps! If the racers of today had a set of balls between them (I doubt they do) they would do the same!

  18. I admit that I'm a very fair white racist; I detest the black Crybaby-Americans exactly as much as they detest me. No more. No less. If anything I wish cops would kill more of them.

  19. Just like that racist Kaeprinick, i respect Bubba's right to his beliefs, and to protest, but NOT AT WORK! Would if be ok if "I" ranted and held posters saying "ALL LIVES MATTER" at work??...Answer...NO! So WHY is it ok for him to have a car saying BLM? This whole BLM cause is the most Hypicritical farce i've ever seen, and for THAT REASON, i will NOT EVER watch or attend any NASCAR sanctioned events!

  20. Well that's it then. I was almost about to start watching NASCAR again despite Toyota's and rule changes. I'll now pass on that. I guess ass hat Colin capernic will be the grand Marshall now too

  21. Before corporations give in to the BLM shakedown group they should investigate who they are.

  22. This bubba Wallace was the same wingnut crying on television about his mental health issues and how everyone should expose all their faults and flaws to be judged by all

  23. NASCAR has been in decline for several years now. Their going to appease the garbage for one driver and totally spit in the faces of what fan base they have left? Go ahead put your bullshit BLM on his car and ban the Confederate flag see how that goes over. I'll tell you how, about as good as a turd in the punchbowl. What do you think you're going to make up for all the lost fans with blacks and the liberal whites?? NASCAR is but a distant memory now

  24. NASCAR is all done now. They just alienated 90% of their fans.

You know, I'm really surprised that nobody thought that whole fainting this was staged. I mean, old drivers like Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Darryl Waltrip and others used to race under some very extreme hot conditions and didn't pass out. This guy is relatively young, in good shape, experienced at racing, and the need to keep hydrated and he passes out?

George Floyd - I can't breath and he passes out, and then passes away.

Bubba Wallace the only Black Nascar driver also passes out after the race, and now will sport Black Lives Matter on the car? Doesn't that all seem kind of, conveniently "created" for the situation to anyone else? Nascar is nothing more than a show anymore, and that sure sounds like a "show" to me.

  28. No more nastycar for me and my wife. It was the last sport we enjoyed watching. Done. The drivers and sponsors and track owners need to step away from nascar and form their own organization.
