Australian Study: COVID-19 'Exquisitely Adapted' for Human Cells

A major new Australian study of COVID-19 has found that it seems specially adapted to infect human cells, casting some doubt on whether it emerged in bats or pangolins when it first erupted in China.

As a consequence, the scientists behind the study say, a “possibility which still cannot be excluded is that SARSCoV-2 was created by a recombination event that occurred inadvertently or consciously in a laboratory handling coronaviruses, with the new virus then accidentally released into the local human population"

"The results clearly show that the COVID-19 virus is exquisitely adapted to infect humans," says Flinders University Professor Nikolai Petrovsky, lead author of a new paper just published online in arXiv, a leading US preprint server for researchers.

"The virus's ability to bind protein on human cells was far greater than its ability to bind the same protein in bats, which argues against bats being a direct source of the human virus."

  1. This is a lab made virus, and there are 2 ways to look at that... One is a BIO-Weapon which would be done on purpose and then you have lab made virus where you introduce outside animals (such as bats) to the lab and test them on the virus, and then the virus gets out... Corona virus is not in bats and it takes thousands of years for it to mutate that way... So when they say came from bats they are lying... They took bats into the lab and infected them, and if that strand got out, that is still considered a lab made virus... It was not natural so that is how it is classified...

    1. 9:41 - I believe you are correct that this was manufactured. I also think it got loose and the Chinese covered it up. What a mess.

  2. So I can't get your story straight? I thought it wasn't a threat warranting social distancing? So are you pushing the narrative that it was developed in a lab in China to infect humans specifically or is it a hoax?

  3. 9:41 interesting points. I'd like to share with you that there were 6 strains of coronavirus found in bats in Myanmar alone. Zoonosis is the process whereby a disease is transferred from animals to humans. Viruses have no proofreading mechanism like most bacteria or animal cells (DNA Polymerase) which allows viruses to mutate rapidly from generation to generation. While there is definitely a possibility this was a lab made virus it is also possible there is a natural reservoir. The longer a virus spends in a host population the more likely it is to develop advantageous mutations to infecting that host. The virus particles that were most effective at infection and spread will be spread to others where the process will continue to become more and more refined and efficient. This is roughly how you end up with a disease like rabies which effectively infects all ranges of mammals and is over 99% fatal without treatment.

  7. "..So I can't get your story straight?.."

You can read, right? The article was posted for you to read.

    Nobody is "pushing the narrative."

Just grab another donut and read the story.
