Vermont records zero new coronavirus cases for first time in nearly 7 weeks

The coronavirus tally in the Green Mountain State remained the same Wednesday asVermont health officials said there were zero new COVID-19 cases from the day before.

It was the first day without a newly reported case since March 13.

The Vermont Department of Health website also showed that there were no deaths.

Gov. Phil Scott said it was “great news” but cautioned that “one day doesn’t create a trend, and we have to look at the trend lines to see where we’re going.”

  2. 8:55 Don't be so obtuse, of course you are going to see this in the media, and they will play the fiddle out of it!!!! Like Cuomo did with the ventilator BS!!! They have to start this propaganda now in order for them to "MAKE THE TIMELINE" match up with the BS the white house sent out about trying to re-open...

And while none of you clowns think this is about running the economy and finish bringing in in socialism, then why are people having to stand in lines in big groups to only go into the store a few at a time, even though no one disinfects anything and if one person in the line has it, anyone near them could get it, and once they go into the store touching everything, someone will get it, so what is really the point of not letting say 20 people in the store but you will make 20 stand in a group to wait to go inside???? If this is not about socialism, then explain to me why you can get on a sail boat with 10 or more people, but you can't get on a motor boat with 10 or more people???? Does physics say that you will get the virus on the motor boat versus a speed boat???

And I will end with this: Why is Trump or Pense not sick when they said on live tv they were hugging and kissing and shaking hands with people who were tested positive??? Why do they tell you to social distance and use mask but they don't on live tv???

COMMON PEOPLE USE YOUR DAMN BRAIN FOR ONCE!!!!

  4. This is good news. The social distancing and the stay in place participators have helped to make it possible.

This nutty conspiracy theory about bringing in socialism is unfounded and without merit.

Look, just apply Occams Razor on this. It was about a virus and saving lives. The economy will recover. Yes this sucks, and yes it will take time.

We should all be celebrating this victory as a step towards slowly opening things back up.

  5. here's what happened in new zealand...
From an outsider’s perspective, the interesting thing about New Zealand is that the country simply got on board. On day one of the lockdown, the streets and highways were empty, the shops were closed, and everyone stayed home. “I think it’s easier for us Kiwis to fall in line because we trust our leaders,” Sue Webster, the owner of the Airbnb where my wife and I holed up for almost four weeks, told me.

The plan seems to have worked. The daily infection rate in the island nation of 4.9 million steadily dropped from a maximum of 146 in late March to just a few cases a day by mid-April. All told, New Zealand reported a high of 1,476 cases and 19 deaths. On April 26, the country experienced a watershed moment when no new COVID-19 cases and no community transmissions were reported for the first time in over six weeks, though seven new cases cropped up by April 30.

  6. Ray,
    Try your doctor first.
You might not require emergency care
Mind Control is treatable from home.
