Tomb of the Unknown Soldier sentinels won't abandon post for virus: 'We are always here'

The ever-vigilant eyes of 3rd U.S. infantry troops before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will not blink before the coronavirus pandemic.

The U.S. Army troops told a local CBS affiliate that rain, sleet, snow — or deadly viruses — cannot stop their watch over Arlington National Cemetery’s iconic memorial.

“For us, it doesn’t matter if it’s a hurricane, or if it’s the coronavirus.” Capt. Harold Earls said Monday. “We are always here, we are always guarding.”

  3. Real Americans real men that is why we need to preserve all our statues they all represent our nations history the real history. Not a matter if each person looks at them the same way or feels the same meaning or things should have been different, but what actually happened what we were taught in our history books and those of our forefathers. We can right wrongs by speaking about them and even erect statues that show a different opinion but don't take away history as it was written. Just learn from our mistakes and try to correct what is. but thanks to these soldiers for their honor.

  6. 10:17 removing nazi flags wasn't unwriting history. It was removing shrines to people on the wrong side of history. Statues start to take on a new meaning when the KKK uses them as rally points. These things called books will tell you everything you need.
