General Motors is teaming up with a leading medical supply company to make more ventilators as fears of a nationwide shortage grow each day.
Ventec Life Systems will use GM’s logistics, purchasing, and manufacturing expertise to build more of their ventilators, MLive.com reported.
Both GM and Ford announced last week the shuttering of all production plants in North America in an effort to contain the coronavirus and keep workers safe.
Ventec Life Systems is one of the nation's leading suppliers of ventilators, which U.S. health officials say are critical to keeping people who have fallen seriously ill from the virus alive.
