President Trump is making good on his promises to “drain the swamp” and cut Obama-era holdovers from his staffs, especially the critical and recently controversial National Security Council.
Officials confirmed that Trump and national security adviser Robert O’Brien have cut 70 positions inherited from former President Barack Obama, who had fattened the staff to 200.
Many were loaners from other agencies and have been sent back. Others left government work.

ReplyDeleteGet rid of those Stinking Bums
ReplyDeleteYes
ReplyDeleteAnd when he gets done with lower level swamp rats, go after the higher-ups. Like in Congress for starters.
ReplyDeleteIf Trump was a politician, he would have done that when he took office. Trump was naive about the traps previous administrations leave behind. Trump wasn't prepared to take office. Most politicians would have their own teams picked out to run the government during the transition period after the election. That's when the winner gets to award all his supporters and political cronies the lucrative and powerful government positions. Poor Trump just thought he just could be president, and left all those political operatives in their positions. He blew his chance to form his own government during the transition process. For lack of cronies to put in his cabinet (he owed nobody when he won), he resorted to the swamp to fill his cabinet. Hey I'm a Trump voter and supporter, but he failed bigly to form his own government, just because he wasn't a politician. It's the same reason I voted for him (that and Hillary). Trump is even wiser now. His hand picked government is now taking shape. His second term will have many of the obstacles removed that prevented him from implementing his agenda the first time around. Go Trump. 2020!
