Presidential candidate Andrew Yang fired a staffer who was accused of misconduct and mistreatment of others on the campaign.
The campaign made the announcement on Wednesday after actress Alyssa Milano withdrew her support from a Yang fundraiser a day earlier.
While Milano initially labeled the staffer's behavior as "repeated allegations of sexual misconduct," the staffer's fireable behavior was not sexual in nature, according to Politico's Eugene Daniels. The campaign did not give specifics about the alleged misconduct.
“We take any allegation of harassment or mistreatment very seriously on this campaign. If anyone on our team hears about this complaint, we act quickly and immediately," Yang said.
