President Donald Trump traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday to launch the “Black Voices for Trump” coalition for his 2020 re-election campaign.
“We’re going to campaign for every last African American vote in 2020,” he said in a speech as the crowd cheered.
The president celebrated his successful first term presidency, bringing unemployment for the black community to historic lows, restoring the strength of the economy, passing criminal justice reform, and creating tax-exempt opportunity zones.
Trump recalled his controversial statement during the 2016 campaign to the black community, asking them “What the hell do you have to lose?” by supporting a Republican for president.
“I do my best work off-script,” Trump said, and added with a grin, “I hate to say this, I also do my worst work … it makes things very exciting.”
Many prominent African-American Trump supporters joined the event audience, including Pastor Darrell Scott and “Diamond and Silk,” as well as Harrison Floyd.
Trump was introduced by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson, who delivered a passionate speech in defense of the president.

ReplyDeleteI was just thinking this morning about Ben Carson.. what a blessing to humanity he has been. A world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon that has saved and improved countless little lives. Imagine the kind of fears and anxieties he had to deal with every day as parents brought their little children to him hoping he could somehow save them. And in countless instances of surgeries lasing 8, 10, even 12 hours, he did. Over and over.
But when he dares to speak up in support of our President, out come the whips. With stunning hypocrisy the leftists attempt to eviscerate him for daring to leave their plantation. Ripping him apart.
But through it all, he remains calm and kind, speaks the truth in love, and continues to do his best to be a blessing and a help, even though (like Mr. Trump) he could have just gone and enjoyed his retirement in peace instead of having to deal with such aggravation every day.
There is a God, and He is clearly at work through this man.
To you, Dr. Carson-- THANK YOU for your service! You are a tremendous blessing.
Very well said.
