A Dewey Beach police officer was indicted in connection to an August incident where he allegedly climbed on top of a man laid out on a stretcher and began punching the victim in the face, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
According to DOJ officials, Gregory Lynch Jr. responded to reports of a victim who had suffered an injury to the back of his head after losing consciousness near Bellevue Road on August 10, 2019.
The victim was able to sit on the stretcher provided by emergency responders, and put his foot on the ground, stating he did not want to go to the hospital, according to officials.
Authorities said Lynch initially grabbed the victim's leg and put it on the stretcher, then pushed him back down when he again sat up, climbed onto the stretcher himself, and began repeatedly punching the victim in the face, requiring others to hold the stretcher so it wouldn't fall over.

ReplyDeleteI hope he gets his lights beat out in prison.

ReplyDeleteIf a cop did that to me, fornicate it.
ReplyDeletei would try to protect my self and choke stupid fornicate.
Northwest Woodsman: Got to be more to this story. Hard to believe even the most stupid police officer would conduct himself like that especially in the presence of others.
ReplyDelete10:00....
ReplyDeleteI normally appreciate your comments. Astute and to the point.
On this, however, I must point out the THOUSANDS of video's of cops beating and killing people over something they SAID that the cop didn't like.
Children, old men, old women, you name it.
KILLED.
No one goes to jail. When you consider yourself to be not only the enforcement arm of the law, but also the judge, jury, and executioner, you have also forgotten your place.
THOUSANDS of video's. Who you gonna believe? Them? Or your lying eyes?
Lastly, I thought it was kinda strange that they HELD THE STRETCHER UPRIGHT so the cop could continue punching without losing his balance.
Now, THAT is a dedicated ambulance crew, working to ensure the safety of the victim. They should have left that part out of the story....lol.
I hope that he goes to prison,he sure won't last long once the other inmates find out he's a cop.He will get exactly what he deserves.
ReplyDeleteThey ain't paid to be nice to people.
ReplyDeleteExactly!!! They are PAID to beat the snot out of people with head injuries cuffed to a stretcher. THAT’S what they are paid for.
Delete10:03....true.
ReplyDeleteThey are paid to SERVE "We, the people".
SERVE. Not kill.
I'm surprised he didn't wait for 10 other cops to show up before he went bad-ass on an ambulatory citizen.
But I CAN see it if the guy was cuffed.
They gotta stop givin' short, picked-on-in-high school boys a gun and virtually unlimited authority to beat and kill people.
I'll bet $20 that the cop was 5'7" or less.
That the young man gets a nice pay day
ReplyDelete@104 No. The protect and serve refers to the state, not the people.
ReplyDeleteRight on
