First Lady Melania Trump traveled to Wyoming last week as part of her signature Be Best initiative, which focuses on childhood well-being and the crucial fights against cyberbullying and drug abuse. While there, she encouraged children to spend more time outdoors and learn more about America’s beautiful National Parks.
Arriving in the town of Jackson, Mrs. Trump joined some of the Jackson District Boy Scouts under the town’s iconic elk antler arches, where they told her about their ongoing conservation efforts. The Scouts have a longstanding relationship with the National Elk Refuge dating back to the 1950s: They go out and collect antlers on the refuge, sell them at auction, and donate a majority of the proceeds to the refuge in support of elk management and habitat enhancement. The remaining funds stay with the local Scout troop.
Later that day, aboard a river raft, the First Lady explored Wyoming’s scenic Snake River with a group of fourth graders from the Teton County School District.
Friday morning, dozens of second and fourth graders waited for the First Lady’s arrival inside the Grand Teton National Park’s Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center. The young students were at various stations set up around the room, each with an activity designed to help children learn more about the outdoors. While there, Mrs. Trump distributed “Every Kid Outdoors” passes to provide students with free access to amazing National Park Services lands and waters across the country.
“Spending time outdoors with children and learning more about our incredible and complex surroundings was a very meaningful experience for me,” the First Lady said.
“I want to thank the people of Wyoming for making me feel so welcomed.”

Can you just picture Mochelle doing this?????
ReplyDeleteMelania is one of the most beautiful first ladies ever! She is total class, natural beauty and always perfectly dressed for the occasion. Could never say that about Moochella....looked like a man, dressed like a man and acted like a man. Could it be she {he} was a man??
ReplyDeleteSo very true, the best first lady since Jackie.
DeleteThe park there is absolutely wonderful. I have had the pleasure of visiting it twice in my life. If you are able to take a trip to the Tetons, DO IT.
ReplyDeleteGee 6:23 Jackie was a Democrat. How could you complement a Democrat?
ReplyDeleteBE BEST PEOPLE
Northwest Woodsman: Sorry folks but I was around during the Kennedy administration and Jackie was not as attractive as she was made out to be. Probably the best up to that time considering FDR’s, Truman’s and then Eisenhower’s spouses were not classy nor good looking. Our current FLOTUS is a ten in every category.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Jackie had class and dressed well and at the time a great lady for that era, however, she was not a beauty nor did she relate to the American people. She was into herself.
