hmmm....let me see if I have this right. Middle school kid goes dramatic and everyone panics. I have a middle school child, but do not subscribe to kid drama....then again, if you watch any of these kids at dismissal you get a real clear picture of what their parents act like....
how does a middle schooler get hold of a gun? prosecute the parents and put this little dirtbag into state custody! apparently there is no adult supervision in his life!
When I was in 6th grade, all i was thinking about was how to make my bike cooler or who was available to play back-yard football. How do kids come up with this sh**. ?? TV, homelife, video games? It's not normal thought for a 11-12 year old.
8:37 - I totally agree - what’s the deal with every middle school kid and a cell phone? These kids spend way too much time on the things and mix that up with their parents acting foolishly and you get this mess
Daniel Hill, who commented on Facebook, is an obvious genius Sounds like he needed to be in charge of the dance. Guess because he is a fireman and can quote Maslow it makes him and expert. What a wind bag.
12:05. Sounds to me like you are the windbag. Everything he said makes a lot of common sense. Something that you obviously lack along with a lot of teachers and school administrators these days
He was not at the dance but trusts what his kid is saying? Where did his kid get the information? From other kids at the dance who heard it from someone else. Ever play that game called TELEPHONE? Remember how the story gets changed dramatically really quickly? There is a reason hearsay is not permissible in court. That's what happened with the kids at the dance and then the parents continued changing it. Like I said. Let's see him step up and volunteer to run a dance for his kid at school. I'm sure he will tell you how easy it is. I guess you support his fire drill comments too? You folks have no clue of the crisis and emergency plans that schools have in place or the rational behind them, but want to act like experts. Shut up, get an education degree, become a classroom teacher, get your Masters in Admin at night while teaching all day, become an assistant principal for a few years, then come back and tell everyone your opinions on how things should be done.
I'm still trying to get answers out of Bennett about the bomb scare at bennett High last week. All I get is union doublespeak and passed around like a kids toy.
I'm figuring that Mrs. Nathan is some sort of teacher.. C I'm guessing Gym teacher, certainly not an English teacher. She wrote: "...During the dance, administration was made aware of a concerning text message..." She did not complete the thought - RE: "concerning text". Concerning what, exactly? Maybe she meant to say "disconcerting". (Sorry...Pet Peeve grammar mistake of mine.)
Sorry, 10:05 Correctly, then, the language should have been, "...aware of a text of concern...", not "aware of a concerning text message..." Signed: English Prof. (Ret.) University of Delaware. A grasp of correct English language is being lost.....
From reading the comments on their Facebook page and comments on THIS page, these kids don't stand a chance. School admin lies, a guy calls them out on it and other things, and of course, he is attacked for it.
People on THIS page worry about grammar, definitions, commenters on a FB page, and attacking a guy on that FB page.
Parents are worried about that crap and not the safety of their own kids? Incredible. I don't even know what to say to that.

Delete836-There's a rumor also going around, that the 6th graders ex-girlfriend made up the entire story.
ReplyDeleteleo say they found a gun in boy's backpack 10:15
ReplyDeleteThat was somerset intermediate
DeleteNegative 10:15. This kid was not even at the dance. You are confusing this situation with what happened in Somerset county.
DeleteAre you confusing this with the Somerset county incident... As sad as it is that I have to ask that?

So much drama at so young an age. Pitiful.
ReplyDeleteCome on people. If the parents are MORONIC IDIOTS?? So are their offspring. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
ReplyDeleteI constantly spent my half an hour to read this weblog's content every day along with

ReplyDeleteConcerning is correct. It can mean "relating" to or in this case worrying or troublesome.
Sorry, 10:05

made aware of a concerning text message
ReplyDeleteIs incorrect. Should have read, "a text message of concern"
If not, what was the text concerning?
Seriously, this is what you all got out of this? Again, people focus on the stupidest things and not the real issue. Get a life.
