A man was transported to Shock Trauma after crashing a golf cart at a clothing optional campground in Davidsonville Saturday, county fire officials said.
The incident happened about 5:34 p.m. at the Maryland Health Society in the 3000 block of Patuxent River Road, according to county fire spokesman Lt. Erik Kornmeyer. The society claims to be the oldest nonprofit clothing optional health resort and campground in the country, according to its website.
No details were available about the nature of his injuries other than they were serious but not considered life threatening, Kornmeyer said.
