I know this is not local but I was shocked at the amount of Juveniles arrested and the crimes and ages. Is this a problem in all counties or does St. Mary's County have big problems.

A lot of this is stuff we all did in school. Everybody got in a fight in middle school but instead of getting called to the principals office to make up you get handcuffed and booked. There are a few shockers but I would imagine for the vast majority of these the event was less impressive than the charges would imply.
ReplyDeleteShows the pattern of lack of respect for authority and other people...the "entitled" youth. Little urchins!
ReplyDeleteThe idiots want to be famous so they video it. Cops are all over YouTube these days.
ReplyDeleteIt's like this all over the country , especially with the minority teens , mostly blacks. 12:33 , you can play it down if you want but they will be leading you in a few years . Get you head out of the sand or your a$$ .
ReplyDeleteHonestly this is typical for our schools as well. We have a huge problem in our schools. Its not the DOJ or the BOE. Its the kids that come into school. no respect for anything. We have a huge societal problem that I am not sure how it will be fixed or even if it can. This article just shows the schools in our area are not the only ones with problems.
ReplyDeleteMost of these things happened in Lexington Park or at Great Mills. Not a shocker
ReplyDeleteDon't laugh, these kids are going to be congressional leaders in less than 20 years. Americas future...
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete12:33 hasn't been in a school recently. There is a subset of undisciplined kids at all levels. When the disruption is severe enough that the deputy is summoned, and that an arrest occurs says something. Most disruptions don't go further than a teacher or administrator.
Second point. Would be interesting to know how many of these are repeat offenses by repeat offenders. Betting most are.
Life in our schools is similar.
Who/where are the role models or mentors? There is no respect anymore because of dysfunctional home lives and chaos at every turn. Kids are taught to be devious and how to scam the system by their elders and also survival of the fittest; no time for dolls, sleep overs, little league, or scouting. These kids are kids but have long since been abandoned as such and are becoming street wise way too early.
ReplyDeleteI must agree 12:33
ReplyDeleteDemoncraps taken over the schools - booting God and morality out.
ReplyDeleteThere is the answer, get rid of Democraps, and non-moral teachers. Put REAL history back in the schools, pledge allegiance to the flag, and prayers.
@629 lololol
ReplyDelete2 parents working to feed the family
ReplyDeleteOr 1 parent raising the children alone
Hollywood morality
Lack of Church attendance
All of these are leading to societal breakdown
Obviously, the skools need more money, right?
ReplyDeleteNo 8:46, money is not the answer
DeleteThey haven't been taught any boundaries, nor proper responses for things.
ReplyDeleteWhere is DA DA?
ReplyDeleteGiven the changing demographics of St. Mary's County this is not surprising at all.
ReplyDeleteThis is a trend that will affect our future. Have you really checked out public schools lately? Children are allowed to cuss, disrupt class, disrespect teachers, come and go as they please, with little or no consequence. If a child is determined to be bad enough after multiple warnings, the teachers will request a conference with the parents and if one should show up, 90% of the time, they defend their child blaming anything else, instead of listening to the teachers, that there may be a problem and how to rectify the situation for the betterment of the child. The parents are just as responsible for their child actions. And the disrespect comes from not teaching their children respect and disciplining them at an early age and continuing respect, manners and decency for life. The system represses suspensions and write ups to keep the numbers down so they don't risk losing funding (crazy I know) and no longer has after school detention or any real punishment for bad behavior. Most offenses you never hear about and the child goes unpunished. Frustrating the teachers and good students. The schools coddle the bad kids until they eventually feel they can do whatever they want, and they become worse. The only time a child is suspended is a fight and that is because the school does not want to be liable. So they arrest all parties involved, now suspend them and let the court sort it out.The court is so overwhelmed that they don't have time to deal with such matters and gives the child a slap on the wrist, at most and the child goes away again unpunished, feeling that wasn't nothing, and most of the time goes right back to the same thing they were doing before. Pattern repeats itself and eventually the charges get serious enough that they end up in jail. Blaming the system for their problems.SMH
ReplyDeleteMostly single welfare parent. I say "parent" with a very loose description.
ReplyDeleteNot so shocking if you knew their race.
ReplyDeleteTommy Sotomayor knows EXACTLY WHY! See what he says on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteNo daddies. No decent role models. Mommy doesn't give a rats ass cause she has things to do and places to go and people to see, and if daddy doesn't care, she figures why should she? No training, no teaching, no guidance , no nothing. This is the end product.
ReplyDeleteI bet their problem is that no one ever turned them over their knee and gave them a well deserved spanking. Make it part of their punishment. A public one.
