EASTON — One person is dead and another injured in a June 6 assault at the Easton Family YMCA at Peachblossom, and the facility is closed as police investigate.
The injured person is a "person of interest," according to Easton Police Chief David Spencer.
According to Spencer, officers were called to "a fight or some type of incident" at about 7:30 a.m. "Upon arrival, officers found two people who were obviously in some type of medical distress."
Paramedics were called and both people were taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton where one died. The hospital has not released the condition of the other person.
