  8. Jake Day and his cover up of crime in da 'Bury is an embarrassment to all elected officials. I will not be voting for Jake Day as the next Salisbury Mayor. Muir Boda will not be getting my vote either.

  9. And of course it didn't happen in Delaware so nothing about it on WBOC that I saw.

  10. Imagine that. African American's fighting at a bar and using a handgun.

Memo: Never ever go to Mojo's or anywhere downtown unless you don't care about your life.

Little Baltimore in the making. What is the crime rankings of Salisbury again?

  11. Time to turn the investigation over to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office. Sad, sad, sad that we as county and city taxpayers are funding a department that can't even solve crimes.

Have you ever noticed that when the Maryland State Police and the WCSO take over the investigations these crimes are solved? Why do we have to wait for a murder before they are called in to assist?

    1. 4:49..are you an idiot? You say there is no mention of a gun or a shooting. Yet, the very first sentence says “an early morning fight and SHOOTING...”. It’s ok to have an agenda...but...have some integrity.

  19. Well it may not have made WBOC news, but it made WJZ Baltimore news.

Woman Shot, Man Injured After Fight In Salisbury Early Sunday
May 6, 2019 at 3:50 Baltimore News, Local TV, Maryland, Maryland News, Wicomico County

SALISBURY, MD. (WJZ) — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man and a woman injured Sunday morning in Salisbury, Md.

At around 2 a.m., police were called to the 200 block of E. Main Street for a report of a shooting. After interviewing witnesses on the scene, detectives were then directed to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where they met with a 27-year-old woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her leg.

Detectives also met with a 28-year-old man who was being treated with serious but non-life threatening injuries to his head and face as a result of a fight at the same location.

Police learned that both victims were Mojo’s, on 213 E. Main Street and a verbal altercation between the 28-year-old man and several other unknown suspects, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

The unknown suspects began assaulting the man as he was trying to get into his car to leave the area, police said.

It was at that time the 27-year-old woman was struck in the leg with a bullet fired by one of the suspects.

Police said the suspects, fled the area, but where they went is not known at this time.

The woman was treated and released from PRMC for her injuries which police say are considered serious but non-life threatening.

The man was transported from PRMC to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for more treatment.

Police said video surveillance footage will be released as it is obtained and analyzed in hopes of identifying the suspects.

They described the suspects as two men, one wearing a white t-shirt and light-colored pants, and the other man having medium to long dreadlocks, a stocky build, facial hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. The second man was believed to be possessing a handgun.

  20. Is this the same Mojo's that Salisbury's gay Mare used to frequent? The same Mojo's that Salisbury's gay Mare went into the Ladies room?
The same Mojo's that Salisbury's gay Mare whipped out his weeny in front of three female employees? The same Mojo's where Salisbury's gay Mare never got into trouble and won his election to city council?

  21. They need foot patrols downtown 24/7. Especially when the bars close.

  25. Mojos is a great restaurant. One of the very few great non-chains of the city. Hate to see these spiteful nasty haters just hating for the sake of hating. It detracts from the real issue. Getting sby safe at any hour. We have spent a massive amount of tax $ to make downtown beautiful. Get the trash out of there. Why aren’t there incessant patrols by these places when these thugs are out and about. Are the city cops scared to stop and frisk? You know these guys were just loitering, with a gun, waiting for trouble to get their man cards. So sad. Praying it doesn’t impact mojos business.

  29. Wake up Jake and make some changes. Its now your election to lose and if you don't make changes and fast, say goodbye to that office. I can only hope we see additional people running for Mayor to take even more votes from Jake. He refuses to make changes even though he promised during his first bid. Now he will make same promises to make some changes at SPD and we will go another term with broken promises. He needs to make these changes before election and get things on the right track before election. Salisbury, lets get rid of this guy who has made broken promises....

    ReplyDelete
  30. Do not patronize downtown until the Mayor and SPD make it safe or risk being shot. Just like Baltimore

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well said 9:45. I think that we should also HOLD the City Council members responsible for failing to make any changes in SPD. They too can have those discussions and help push along changes at SPD. They sit quietly by not saying or doing anything to help these issues with crime and problems inside SPD. If you have issues inside your own house such as SPD, those that work at SPD are not going to be motivated to do things above and beyond outside in their community. The City Council needs to help facilitate the change that has been so desperately needed inside SPD and we should hold them accountable as well. They too will be up for reelection.

  32. The sad fact is every bar in Salisbury has seen the cancer. These thugs have ruined multiple locations. Try being around Brew River when it closes at night. The Andromeda that was actually built to be a nightclub closed because of Thugs. The old FireHouse same thing and a young girl was shot and killed on her birthday in front of the bar that took that spot. The minute these cockroaches move in there is trouble. Joe was smart opening in West O.C. It is not the fault of the business owners. It's like blaming a gun for killing people. Denny's still has police on hand after hours and the idiots killed one of their own with police inside the building. I will say in that case police 1 thugs 0. It was a twofer lol. I guess the bottom line is none of us should worry about Black on Black crime. The Democraps do not seem to care. Blacks are too busy blaming the White man for their blatant disregard for basic human behavior. Funny Ocean City has hundreds of thousands of tourist in the summer and there are bars on every corner. They do not have the issues Slimebury has. Call a spade a spade.

  38. I think I would feel more comfortable living in Rehmomo Beach. At least you don't hear about this kind of crime in Delaware!

    ReplyDelete
  39. 2:27 Stop making up reasons to move to Rehomo Beach. You know you want to go so just do it lol. As for Salisbury what a dung hole. I have lived in some rough areas but it just seems magnified here. Imagine the Cities stats if they had to count all the reports generated in schools that are located in their jurisdiction and on the other hand Lewis and company pad their stats with school issues. I do not see the Sheriff's Office patrolling the city at night some nights they have two or three brave souls working the entire county. Time to take the gloves off and Turn that huge SPD building into a County Police Dept. Bring in a proven Chief from a department that has been successful in battling crime. Lewis gets to keep courts and the schools along with paper service (civil) can Babs. Lewis does not get the 13 mill for a building and his his budget will be 10% of what it is now. The only people who do not want this are the egos at the top. The foot soldiers would love it. Maybe Pittsville saw the lack of law enforcement given by WCSO and that is why they have their own police. Funny that is the Eastside Mikey's stomping grounds. Break the county down by 4 sectors. Have sub stations in each sector and bring back safe streets initiative. Have the state police handle any accident on state roadways. I am sure this will never happen but just looking at it as a way to make streets safe again and make sure there is sufficient back up for the troops.

    Have a Delmaralous Day
