UPDATE:
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all of the concerned citizens who contacted us with information in relation to the tragic motor vehicle accident on Esham Rd. At this time, investigating deputies have identified the deceased and the next of kin has been notified.
Incident: Motor Vehicle Collision with Fatality
Date of Incident: March 17, 2019
Location: 7570 Esham Road, Parsonsburg, Maryland
Narrative: On March 17, 2019 at 11:49 P.M., Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 7570 Esham Road in reference to a motor vehicle collision with a fatality.
The investigation revealed that the involved vehicle was traveling south on Esham Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. The vehicle impacted a tree and travel trailer that were on the property causing the vehicle to burst into flames. Unfortunately the driver of the vehicle was unable to escape the wreckage and passed away at the scene. The vehicle was unregistered and deputies were unable to identify the deceased at this time. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle owner or person operating the vehicle. The vehicle is described as a 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS / STS Pearl White in color (similar to the stock photo).

ReplyDeleteThe VIN is not only on the plate in the windshield, but is usually stamped in other indestructible places such as engine block, bell housing, rear differential, etc. You can be sure that there are traceable numbers that survived.
VINs *always* survive.

ReplyDeleteThe VIN is only going to show the list of registered owners. Go to PA, buy a car at auction, get a fake paper tag to drive around on until DFC Chase catches you. This operator clearly never met him, as he crashed before being caught. You can definitely trace it back to the auction, but someone with cash and no ID can "cash & carry".

ReplyDeleteIt's not about PC culture, which I dislike as well. It's about being respectful, especially to the dead and their family. Would you go up to the family and say to their face "your loved one cooked and suffocated"?? I would hope not and I'll bet you wouldn't like someone to say that to you if the roles were reversed. Acting respectfully and being politically correct are 2 completely different ideas. Showing respect is about who you are as a person. Being PC is about worrying how others perceive you.

ReplyDeleteHumility is not being PC. It is human to show humility. The act of kindness is not being politically correct it is just being a good person. There is a time and place for everything. I would snap your neck like a chicken bone if you harmed me or mine. This had nothing to do with politics. A person received the death penalty for driving a car that was unregistered. I would say he paid enough. 8:13 look up respect in the dictionary I think you missed the point. So if your family member died in a mva you would want the cop delivering the news as blunt as possible lol. I do not think so.

ReplyDelete5:26 ok lets think about the deceased - what exactly where they doing or thinking? An unregistered vehicle clearly means they don't give a darn about laws, or any damage they may cause with said unregistered, uninsured vehicle. The accident happened on a straight stretch of road, where the driver lost control of the vehicle. There isn't any loose gravel on esham road in that area, speed is what caused the driver to loose control. He went across another persons yard, jumped a ditch before creaming brick steps, sliding down a brick home, and destroying a travel trailer. Please tell me what else should we think about the driver? They were a good law abiding citizen??????? Any proof of that????????? Was the driver respectful of the vehicle he was in control of??? NO! Was the driver respectful to any of the people's property he destroyed?????? NO! Would the driver have been respectful if he had killed anyone other than himself????? More than likely NO!!!!!!!!! RESPECT IS EARNED NOT GIVEN FREELY!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete1131a Obviously i would want the police officer to tell me the whole truth. If he lies about one thing ("Oh, your loved one died instantly on impact."), he will lie about other things. People need to pull their big boy/girl panties up and accept the things that society deems offensive.
