also called delta-9-THC or simply THC. It enters the body's bloodstream rapidly after smoking marijuana. If marijuana is ingested rather than smoked, it takes longer to be absorbed into the blood, usually from 20 minutes to an hour and a half.
The short-term effects of marijuana on memory, learning, problem-solving, and coordination last for one to two hours, with some lingering effects for up to 24 hours. It's been shown to impair your driving performance for up to three hours, according to the studies quoted by the National Highway Safety Administration.THC is detectable in the blood for a short time, about a few hours, because it is rapidly broken down and modified into molecules known as metabolites. At least 80 different metabolites are formed from THC. These metabolites are stored in body fat and are gradually eliminated from the body through feces and urine.

And Maryland favored legalizing marijuana despite medical details that it also had a history of being a door to the use of even stronger drugs. Between this an the vaping we really put our children first in this state! I have a relative under the age of 21 that uses both and has had over 3 accidents in the last 3 years. Those that have promoted both I hope your families live with what I have seen.
ReplyDeleteNah.
DeleteState Police can get more stops now....assuming your high
ReplyDeleteto justify their large salary and fancy cars
Exactly. Anytime Maryland does this they have revenue on their mind. Cops pull you over for ANYTHING now. Pretty soon you won't be able to talk in a car without it being a traffic violation. Socialism in Maryland is here ALREADY.
DeleteI smoked it for years, never had an accident and never “graduated” to harder drugs, total BS!!
ReplyDeletePropaganda from the prohibition period. Evolve people, stop the reefer madness b.s. Don’t drink and drive.
ReplyDeleteThe gateway theory has been debunked. Don't try to bring it up again and again.
ReplyDeleteI wish it stayed in my system forever. Medicine is expensive!!!
ReplyDeleteOk let me ask you this all you marijuana and vaping fans, if you have a teenager at home would you put them in a car with someone using marijuana or vaping and be truthful!
ReplyDeleteYes if I knew them and they weren't smoking it at that moment but had previously. But I would NOT if they were drunk. Your young relative is just a BAD DRIVER in general....sorry.

ReplyDeleteI'd bet your relative was using alcohol at the same time. Pot by itself, doesn't usually cause accidents.

ReplyDeleteIf I had a choice between putting my teenager in a car with a marijuana user, or a person using alcohol, I'd put them in a car with a marijuana user in a heartbeat. And that's the truth! You would too, if you tell the truth. Only someone with their head in the "reefer madness" sand, would try to make your kind of argument.

ReplyDeleteOnly someone with their head in the "reefer madness" sand, would try to make your kind of argument. Try educating yourself on the effects of marijuana. Better yet, try it, and get first hand experience. Then you will know your relative was probably DRINKING when he or she had the accidents.
24-7!! Rather take a toke of some good medical grade weed/oil than drink alcohol
