Democrat Uses Racial Slurs To Attack Opponent At Polling Precincts, Report Says

Numerous groups are demanding that Michigan state Rep. Bettie Cook Scott (D) apologize for using racial slurs to attack her Senate primary opponent, Michigan state Rep. Stephanie Chang (D), at an event earlier this month where she allegedly made disparaging remarks about Asians.

The Detriot Metro Times reports that Scott reportedly told a group of volunteers and community groups on August 7 that people should not vote for "'ching-chang' and 'the ching-chong' to multiple voters outside polling precincts during last Tuesday's election."

Scott is also accused of calling one of Chang's volunteers an "immigrant," telling her "you don’t belong here" and "I want you out of my country."

The Detroit Free Press adds that Scott allegedly told voters that "these immigrants from China are coming over and taking our community from us."

Scott also reportedly said that it "disgusts her seeing black people holding signs for these Asians and not supporting their own people.'"

Criminal Foreigners in Prison Cost American Taxpayers $1.4B Every Year

The criminal illegal and legal immigrant population in prison is costing American taxpayers about $1.42 billion every year.

The newest Government Accountability Office (GAO) report reveals the extent to which taxpayers are subsidizing the cost of incarcerating, feeding, and housing criminal illegal and legal immigrants.

Between 2011 and 2016, the average annual cost of to incarcerate criminal illegal and legal immigrants slightly decreased — as the criminal alien population slightly decreased as well — from $1.56 billion to about $1.42 billion. That cost is paid for by American taxpayers who are forced to offset the costs of mass immigration to the country.

Louisiana AG Denies $600 Million to Citibank, Bank of America Over Gun Control

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and the state’s Bond Commission denied $600 million to Citibank and Bank of America over the gun control stance adopted by both companies.

Citibank and Bank of America were both to be part of a road financing plan in the state, but were omitted from the financial plan after arbitrarily placing new gun controls on banking customers.

Louisiana Executive Division press secretary Ruth Wisher told Breitbart News that Landry and State Treasurer John Schroder have been working on the state’s response to corporate gun control “for some time.” Omitting them from the $600 million is part of that response.

Tunisia Seizes 9 Jihadists on Migrant Boat Heading for Italy

Tunisian authorities have arrested nine Islamist extremists who attempted to board a rubber boat to reach Italy across the Mediterranean on Monday.

Tunisian authorities have arrested nine Islamist extremists who attempted to board a rubber boat to reach Italy across the Mediterranean on Monday.

The nine suspected terrorists were part of a group of 15 migrants intercepted by the Tunisian Coast Guard and the counter-terrorist team of Bizerte, in the north of the country. The nine men, aged between 21 and 39, were handed over to the National Guard Unit investigating terrorism for questioning.

In June, Tunisia’s Foreign Ministry made known its displeasure over comments made by Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini, who suggested that the migrants coming from the North African country were not the continent’s best and brightest.

During a local election rally in Sicily for his League party, Mr. Salvini said that Tunisia “isn’t exporting gentlemen, it seems more often they’re exporting convicts.”

ARMY BRIGADIER GENERAL SAYS JOHN BRENNAN IS A ‘CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER’ WHO WANTS TO ‘OVERTHROW’ TRUMP

Army Brig. Gen. Anthony Tata said former CIA director John Brennan is a “clear and present danger” to the United States and wants to “overthrow” President Donald Trump on Fox News Thursday.

Tata, who is now retired, said Brennan’s tweets disparaging Trump and calling for his removal are enough to revoke his security clearance.

“He spied on American citizens and lied in front of Congress about that spying,” Tata said on “Fox & Friends.” “Question 29 on the security clearance form says, you know, ‘have you ever supported overthrowing the U.S. Government?’ All of you got to look at Brennan’s tweets and he supports the removal of this president, and right there — that’s enough evidence to get rid of his clearance.”

Australian MP Under Fire After Suggesting ‘Final Solution’ To Muslim Immigration

An Australian MP is already under fire just after giving his maiden speech in parliament on Tuesday where he used the words "final solution" in reference to Muslim immigration.

Senator Fraser Anning of the right-wing Katter's Australian Party (KAP) raised a firestorm of controversy with the speech that attempted to give voice to Australia's rising anti-immigration sentiment, telling lawmakers that Muslim Australians do not integrate well while bringing the threat of terrorism and further that they "do not work and live on welfare".

Multiple fellow MPs as well as national television pundits have focused on what could be Anning's either unintended poor word choice or, as his accusers suggest, an purposeful attempt to evoke holocaust imagery.

Egyptian-born Anne Aly (above) is the first Muslim woman to be a member of the Australian House of Representatives. She reacted to MP Anning's speech by tearfully saying she was tired of having to fight bigots and racists. (screengrab)

After claiming Muslim communities foster "sympathizing with Islamic State," the key offending line came in Anning's speech with the following:

The final solution to the immigration problem is, of course, a popular vote. We don't need a plebiscite to cut immigration numbers; we just need a government that is willing to institute a sustainable population policy.

The speech was immediately condemned as anti-semitic and Islamophobic, with One Nation party MP Pauline Hanson, slamming it as reminiscent of Nazi propaganda, among other lawmakers.

Hanson said, “The speech was written by a Richard Howard, straight from [Joseph] Goebbels’ handbook from Nazi Germany.”

Woman Arrested At Suspected Jihadi Compound Overstayed Visa, Has Been Illegally Present For 20 Years

One of the suspects arrested at a suspected Muslim “extremist” compound in New Mexico is a longtime illegal immigrant from Haiti who overstayed a visitor visa, immigration authorities said Wednesday.

Jany Leveille, 35, was arrested along with four other people on Aug. 4 when state and local police raided the makeshift compound in rural Amalia, New Mexico. Police officers discovered a total of two men, three women and 11 children living in squalid conditions and allegedly training for some kind of mass shooting, according to New Mexico state prosecutors.

On Tuesday morning, Leveille was transferred to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) pursuant to an Aug. 8 immigration detention request, said ICE spokesperson Leticia Zamarripa.

“ICE issued her a notice to appear before a federal immigration judge, and she remains in ICE custody pending resolution of her immigration proceedings,” Zamarripa told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Leveille has been unlawfully present in the U.S. for more than 20 years after overstaying the validity of her non-immigrant visitor visa.”

Breaking News: President Trump's overhaul of climate change rules lets states set their own plans. Environmentalists say emissions could rise.

The Trump administration next week plans to formally propose a vast overhaul of climate change regulations that would allow individual states to decide how, or even whether, to curb carbon dioxide emissions from coal plants, according to a summary of the plan and details provided by three people who have seen the full proposal.

The plan would also relax pollution rules for power plants that need upgrades. That, combined with allowing states to set their own rules, creates a serious risk that emissions, which had been falling, could start to rise again, according to environmentalists.

German Migration Agency: Highly Unlikely That Failed African Asylum Seekers Will Be Deported

The German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has reported that only a fraction of the failed asylum seekers from Africa have been deported saying they have a very high chance of being allowed to remain in the country.

BAMF reports that of the 36,089 African asylum seekers who made asylum applications in the first half of 2018, 27,250, or 86 percent, have had their applications rejected but only 3,164 have actually been deported from the country, Die Welt reports.

The agency says that most of the deported African asylum seekers have not been deported to their home countries in Africa either, but instead have been sent back to other European Union states as part of the EU’s Dublin regulation.

Dulles CBP Intercepts Prohibited Pork Concealed in Cans of Baby Formula

STERLING, Va., – Parents of infants cherish the milestone when they can start adding solid food to their baby’s formula diet, but the pork sausages that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agriculture specialists discovered concealed inside an El Salvadoran woman’s baby formula is not likely doctor recommended and is most certainly prohibited.

CBP agriculture canine Beazley alerted to the woman’s baggage after she arrived on a flight recently to Washington Dulles International Airport. During an x-ray examination, CBP agriculture specialists detected anomalies inside two cans of baby formula. After opening the cans, agriculture specialists discovered nearly 4.5 combined pounds of pork sausage.

Swine meat from El Salvador is prohibited from entering the United States due to the presence of swine vesicular disease (SVD), a highly contagious viral disease of pigs caused by an enterovirus. SVD-infected pigs show lesions on the feet, snout and mouth. SVD is costly to eradicate, and it causes severe economic impacts because of export restrictions of pigs and pork products from nations not considered free of SVD. SVD is not found in North America.

“Passengers try various ways to conceal food products that they know to be inadmissible to the United States, such as in this pork concealment attempt, but Customs and Border Protection agriculture specialists and their canine partners are highly trained in detection techniques,” said Casey Durst, CBP’s Director of the Baltimore Field Office. “CBP agriculture specialists and their canine partners continue their vigilance through robust and stringent inspections of arriving passengers and their baggage to search for prohibited products that pose a significant risk to our nation’s agriculture and to our economy.”

CBP agriculture specialists incinerated the pork products and released the woman to continue her visit.

James Clyburn Floats Replacing Nancy Pelosi as Speaker

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), the third-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, says he is ready to succeed House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as Speaker of the House if their party wins a House majority in November.

Appearing before the Congressional Black Caucus Institute’s policy conference in Tunica, Mississippi, on August 10, Clyburn, 78, spoke of a possible bid to replace Pelosi, 78, who occupies the Democrat Party’s top spot in the House. “I’m very much up for it,” Clyburn, who would become the first African-American Speaker in American history if successful, told McClatchy DC on the sidelines of the annual forum. “Trump asked the question about himself, ‘What do I have to lose?’” the lawmaker asked.

Clyburn claims he will not challenge Pelosi for the leadership post and would only assume the role if the embattled California lawmaker failed to secure the support needed to regain the gavel. However, if the Republicans hold on to their majority, “all of us have got to go,” Clyburn said of Democrats in an interview with Politico following his annual “Jim Clyburn’s World Famous Fish Fry” in Columbia.

K-12: Creating the 'Ideal' School

Believe it or not, there was once a time when the ideal purpose was to teach lots of stuff. Any serious stuff. The diameter of the Earth. What's the Amazon? Why do people still talk about Alexander the Great?

This might sound like an apocryphal story, but people had textbooks full of information, teachers discussed this information, and students learned it for life.

Facts and knowledge were assumed to have an intrinsic value. You ought to know this stuff. There was a second benefit in discussing lots of facts. Your brain becomes more facile at juggling, comparing, and analyzing various kinds of new information. This facility was once upon a time the very essence of education.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau took things in a new direction, with his emphasis on emotion and feelings in education. John Dewey and his gang started an emphasis on ideology and politics. Point is, lots of educational theorists became more absorbed in theory than in education itself.

Justice Department, DEA propose significant opioid manufacturing reduction in 2019

WASHINGTON – The Department of Justice and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration have proposed a reduction for controlled substances that may be manufactured in the U.S. next year. Consistent with President Trump’s “Safe Prescribing Plan” that seeks to “cut nationwide opioid prescription fills by one-third within three years,” the proposal decreases manufacturing quotas for the six most frequently misused opioids for 2019 by an average ten percent as compared to the 2018 amount. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking marks the third straight year of proposed reductions, which help reduce the amount of drugs potentially diverted for trafficking and used to facilitate addiction.

On July 11, 2018, the Justice Department announced that DEA was issuing a final rule amending its regulations to improve the agency’s ability to consider the likelihood of whether a drug can be diverted for abuse when it sets annual opioid production limits. The final rule also promotes greater involvement from state attorneys general, and today’s proposed reduction will be sent to those offices.

In setting the aggregate production quota, DEA considers data from many sources, including estimates of the legitimate medical need from the Food and Drug Administration; estimates of retail consumption based on prescriptions dispensed; manufacturers’ disposition history and forecasts; data from DEA’s own internal system for tracking controlled substance transactions; and past quota histories.

The DEA has proposed to reduce more commonly prescribed schedule II opioids, including oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, morphine, and fentanyl.

Ultimately, revised limits will encourage vigilance on the part of opioid manufacturers, help DEA respond to the changing drug threat environment, and protect the American people from potential addictive drugs while ensuring that the country has enough opioids for legitimate medical, scientific, research, and industrial needs.

FDA Approves New Generic Version Of The EpiPen For Allergic Reactions

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first identical alternative to the EpiPen, which is widely used to save children and adults suffering from dangerous allergic reactions.

The FDA Thursday authorized Teva Pharmaceuticals USA to sell generic versions of the EpiPen and EpiPen Jr for adults and children who weigh more than 33 pounds.

The devices enable people to automatically inject the hormone epinephrine into the thigh when experiencing potentially life-threatening allergic reactions to bee stings, peanuts, drugs or other substances.

The EpiPen, which is made by Mylan, has sparked controversy because of its price. It can cost as much as $600 for a package of two pens, and the pens have to be replaced periodically. There have also been periodic shortages of the devices reported around the country.

The FDA says the approval of the new products should help with both cost and availability.

Teachers Turning To Free Supply Shops To Outfit Their Classrooms

Victoria Gomez waits at a "checkout" table as two volunteers count up her finds: puzzles, felt, storage bins and wooden shelves. "My last [credit] card bill was $1,000 and that's just from last month, just for school supplies and things for my classroom," she tells them.

Gomez is now a kindergarten teacher at The Chatsworth School in Baltimore County. In her two years as a teacher, she has switched grade levels three times.

She came to the Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap for the first time last February, after she was asked to switch from fifth grade to second grade — with one day's notice. Gomez says she panicked — she didn't have any of the materials she needed. She got to the swap warehouse minutes before closing time.

"The people here stayed late. They helped me come up with solutions so that everything worked out, and probably 70 percent of the stuff in my teaching space was from here," Gomez recalls.

'Respect' Wasn't A Feminist Anthem Until Aretha Franklin Made It One

On this day 50 years ago, a little-known gospel singer from Detroit went into a New York City recording studio to try to jump-start her career. No one saw it coming, but the song Aretha Franklin laid down on Valentine's Day 1967 would go on to become one of the greatest recordings of all time.

"Respect" hit the top of the charts four months later and turned Aretha Franklin into a feminist champion. The track was actually a clever gender-bending of a song by Otis Redding, whose original reinforced the traditional family structure of the time: Man works all day, brings money home to wife and demands her respect in return.

Franklin's version blew that structure to bits. For one, Redding's song doesn't spell out "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" like Franklin's does. It also doesn't have the backup singers and their clever interplay. So much of what made "Respect" a hit — and an anthem — came from Franklin's rearrangement. She remembered how it all came together when she spoke with WHYY's Fresh Air in 1999.

A first look at San Francisco’s sensational new elevated park

Designed by PWP Landscape Architecture, the designers behind the 9/11 Memorial, the Salesforce Transit Center Park opened in a part of the city desperate for green space–and even helped change local zoning regulations.

After more than a decade of planning, the first stage of San Francisco’s new transit hub is almost complete. The new Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects-designed Salesforce Transit Center, which spans several blocks in downtown San Francisco, will bring together 11 bus lines and eventually trains from around the Bay Area, organizing the city’s sprawling public transportation system. But all attention over the weekend was on the hub’s rooftop park, which opened to the public August 11.

The 5.4-acre Salesforce Transit Center Park, which occupies the entire roof of the transit center, is one of the largest stretches of greenery to open in San Francisco in years. It brings much-needed public, open space to a newly named neighborhood called the East Cut, a dense, heavily commercial area of the city that has few parks. The park has a public plaza that also connects via a skybridge to the fifth floor of the Salesforce Tower next door, along with an amphitheater, lawns, and botanical gardens.

Mr. Skirvin said the Dolphins organization had contacted police unions offering specially priced tickets and VIP treatment for the Nov. 4 game honoring first responders, which he characterized as an “olive branch” to officers unhappy with last year’s kneeling.

Texas Man Claims Record-Breaking 3-Mile Shot

Long-range shooting is something I have a deep respect for. The idea of hitting a target from thousands of yards despite things like the wind, the bullet’s path through the air, the patience to wait for the right moment to take the shot, all are beyond me as a shooter. As a result, I have a deep respect for those who can make those long-range shots.

Now, a gentleman in Texas claims to have made the longest shot in history.

A West Texas man has taken aim at becoming one of the world’s top marksmen.

Bill Poor, 41, says he hit a target from 3 miles away with a .408 bullet on Jan. 14 near Midland.

Hitting a target from that distance would break the record of 2.8 miles set by retired Navy SEAL Charles Melton in September.

For Poor, it was a shot that was three years in the making.

“It didn’t happen overnight,” he said. “It took a lot of homework and a lot of science.”

FORMER UN LEAD AUTHOR: GLOBAL WARMING CAUSED BY ‘NATURAL VARIATIONS’ IN CLIMATE

Global temperature change observed over the last hundred years or so is well within the natural variability of the last 8,000 years, according to a new paper by a former Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC) lead author.

Dr. Philip Lloyd, a South Africa-based physicist and climate researcher, examined ice core-based temperature data going back 8,000 years to gain perspective on the magnitude of global temperature changes over the 20th Century.

What Lloyd found was that the standard deviation of the temperature over the last 8,000 years was about 0.98 degrees Celsius– higher than the 0.85 degrees climate scientists say the world has warmed over the last century.

“This suggests that while some portion of the temperature change observed in the 20th century was probably caused by greenhouse gases, there is a strong likelihood that the major portion was due to natural variations,” Lloyd wrote in his study.

Suicidal Vet Calls MDMA Treatment ‘a Miracle’

Jonathan Lubecky is a 41-year-old veteran who, until a few years ago, suffered from a severe form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Lubecky attempted suicide five times after he was discharged from the Army in 2009.

“My unit there knew there was something off with me while I was deployed, but it didn’t really become noticeable to me until after I got home. That’s when I started having a lot of problems,” Lubecky told The Daily Beast. “My first suicide attempt was on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning in 2006—right after I got back.”

Lubecky felt hopeless, so the drug he credits for saving his life might come as a surprise: MDMA, the purest form of the club drug often referred to as ecstasy, or molly.

In the years following his service, Lubecky was at times taking around 40 pills to deal with his PTSD and injuries he sustained when he was deployed in Iraq. At one point, Lubecky was stationed in what soldiers referred to as “mortar-itaville,” a camp that constantly got mortared.

Lubecky said the pills all had their own side effects, and they simply weren’t working for him. He was constantly suicidal.

Replica Viking Ship Arrives Next Week

OCEAN CITY- Residents and visitors to the resort next week will have the rare opportunity to see a replica of a centuries-old Viking ship sail through the Inlet and on to its mooring along the bulkhead between 3rd and 4th Streets will it will remain for an eight-day visit.
Three times in the last four years, the replica tall ship El Galeon Andalucia visited Ocean City in August, delighting visitors and residents as it entered the Inlet and cruised carefully through the narrow Route 50 drawbridge to its temporary home along the bulkhead between 3rd and 4th Streets. This year, however, Ocean City will get a visitor of a different sort when the replica Viking ship Draken Harald Harfagre makes an eight-day stop in the resort as part of a larger east coast tour.

The Draken, as it is simply called, is an exact replica of the type of ocean-going vessel the Vikings sailed across the Atlantic when they discovered the New World centuries ago. The Draken is scheduled to arrive in Ocean City next Wednesday, August 22 under full sail as it passes across the resort’s coastline before coming through the Inlet and passing through the drawbridge to its temporary home. The Draken is scheduled to depart Ocean City on August 29 after an eight-day stay.

CA Allowed Electric Scooters as Green Transit and People Hate Them

Several cities around the United States invested in electronic scooters as a method of transportation — and some Southern California residents find them really annoying.

The scooter company Bird founded an Uber-like ridesharing company for the green transportation. Since the fad of scooters took off, many people can't help but joke about them:
It’s 2018 and Google Maps still doesn’t estimate travel time by electric scooter.
*Man zooms by on electric scooter*

Although scooters may have been on the receiving end of many Millennial jokes, that is not the only problem they cause.

According to the Los Angeles Times, many locals are frustrated with the traffic disruptions and find the scooters to be annoying.

33 charged in half a billion dollar smuggling scheme of counterfeit luxury goods

Defendants trafficked items that included fake Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch handbags, Michael Kors wallets, Hermes belts and Chanel perfume

NEW YORK —
33 individuals were charged Thursday following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) into a scheme to illegally bring into the United States millions of dollars of Chinese-manufactured goods by smuggling them through ports of entry on the East and West Coasts. One defendant is also charged with unlawful procurement of naturalization.

The charges include conspiracy to traffic, and trafficking, in counterfeit goods; conspiracy to smuggle, and smuggling, counterfeit goods into the United States; money laundering conspiracy; immigration fraud and unlawful procurement of naturalization. In addition, the government restrained nine real properties in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn, New York belonging to the defendants.

Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney Richard P. Donoghue for the Eastern District of New York, Special Agent in Charge Angel M. Melendez of HSI New York and Commissioner James P. O’Neill of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), announced the charges. Charges were also announced in a related state case being prosecuted by the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
“This investigation exposed the global nature of intellectual property crimes, allegedly being executed by those arrested today. Counterfeit goods manufactured and smuggled from China with a suggested value close to half a billion dollars, were intended to make its way into U.S. markets and into the hands of unsuspecting consumers,” said HSI Special Agent-in-Charge Melendez. “This investigation should be a crystal clear message that counterfeiting and intellectual property rights violations is anything but a victimless crime as it harms legitimate businesses, consumers and governments.”

DHS Drafting Plan to Exclude Migrants Who Need Welfare

Immigration officials are carefully developing a regulation to implement Congress’ long-standing law against the admission of unskilled migrants who cannot afford to live in the United States, a top administration official said August 15.

“Like it not, that [law] has been on the books since the 1880s … [and] the term ‘public charge’ has been unchanged in all those years,” said Cissna, whose agency is part of the Department of Homeland Security.

How Kavanaugh Meets Schumer’s Standard for Sotomayor

In 2009, current Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor that “your record on the bench” was “the best way to get a sense of what your record will be on the bench in the future.”

That common sense principle was right then, and it remains right today as the Senate Judiciary Committee prepares for its hearing on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. That hearing is set to begin on Sept. 4.

Kavanaugh has been on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit more than 500 days longer than Sotomayor had served on the 2nd Circuit before her elevation to the high court.

He has authored or joined nearly 700 opinions that span 8,500 pages. The challenge isn’t finding enough material about Kavanaugh; it’s sifting through it all to find what’s most important.

Kavanaugh himself can actually help in this task.

Question 13 in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s questionnaire asks the nominee to identify the “10 most significant opinions you have written.” That’s a good place to start.

The goal in examining these opinions should be to determine, as Schumer has said, what kind of justice Kavanaugh will be.

Schumer Threatens New Obstruction Tactic

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) threatened Thursday to go to federal court in hopes a judge will join his last-minute quest for a way to delay confirmation of President Donald Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court until after November’s election.

“We stand ready to sue the National Archives for Judge Kavanaugh’s full records, if necessary, if the FOIA request isn’t granted,” Schumer told reporters on Capitol Hill. “With this suit, we could finally shine some sunshine on Kavanaugh’s records.”

Schumer is referring to an estimated 1 million documents — many, if not most, being covered by executive privilege — produced during Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s tenure working for President George W. Bush in the White House.

Franklin Graham: Chelsea Clinton Defending Abortion as an Economic Good is Like Hitler Defending Killing Jews

‘Chelsea Clinton claims that legalizing abortion added trillions of dollars to the economy’

Christian evangelist Franklin Graham is speaking out against comments Chelsea Clinton made defending abortion as somehow good for the economy. Graham didn’t mince words in his reply and said that her defense of abortion is similar to Hitler defending killing the Jews for economic reasons.

All week, Clinton has been facing criticism for linking legalized abortion on demand to $3.5 trillion in economic growth. Prompting the criticism were remarks Clinton made during a “Rise Up for Roe” rally protesting U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday in New York City.

Clinton claimed the infamous 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade was a good thing, not only because it gave women the “dignity to make our own choices,” but also because it led to a $3.5 trillion boost to America’s economy.

Special Board Gives Leftist Activists a Direct Line to the Census Bureau

The Trump administration should disband an Obama-era board that aims to emphasize the role of racial identity in government policy, a paper released by the Heritage Foundation Wednesday argues.

Heritage Foundation scholar Mike Gonzalez argued in the new policy brief that President Donald Trump should take aim at the National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic, and Other Populations. The NAC, as it is called, provides advisory input to the U.S. Census Bureau on matters pertaining to ethnic identity.

The NAC was re-chartered in its current form in 2012, under then-President Barack Obama, although various advisory bodies on racial and ethnic matters have existed within the Census Bureau since the 1970s. The Bureau calls the NAC "an important channel of communication between the Census Bureau and race, ethnic, and other communities."

These "race, ethnic, and other communities" consist largely of various interest groups claiming to speak for ethnic or racial groups as a whole, but in reality representing only the academic and activist left, Gonzalez argues in his paper.

At a ramshackle compound near the Colorado state line, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 39, Lucas Morton, 40, Jany Leveille, 35, Hujrah Wahhaj, 38, and Subhanah Wahhaj, 35, trained 11 children to use firearms and attack schools. The compound had been under surveillance but police only launched a raid when one of the children texted that they were all in need of food and water.

Police found rifles, handguns and ammunition and a shooting range. In a tunnel leading outside the compound they found the remains of a boy later identified as Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj. According to his mother, he took medicine for seizures but the Islamic radicals thought he was possessed by evil spirits. Prosecutor John Lovelace told reporters that the child died during one of the rituals.

As Rod Steiger said in In the Heat of the Night, they had the body, which was dead. Yet prosecutors only charged the five Muslim militants with child abuse. Locals had to wonder, given the connections of the dead boy’s father.

Siraj Ibn Wahhaj is the son of Imam Siraj Wajjai, an unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993. The Imam, a former CAIR advisor, offered prayer at a Democratic National Convention event in 2012. The elder Wahhaj is also close to Linda Sarsour, who urges Muslims to wage jihad against the Trump administration. For New Mexico officials, activities at the compound were reason enough to suspect the Muslims of training the children for terrorist attacks.

Who Really Died at Auschwitz?

Thoughtful article from a Spanish writer.

What really died at Auschwitz? Here's an interesting viewpoint. The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper. It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe - and possibly to the rest of the world.

I walked down the streets in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz . . . We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a group of people who represented culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who made great contributions to the world, and thus changed the world.

The contribution of today’s Jewish people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. Look at any donors’ board at any symphony, art museum, theater, art gallery, science center, etc. You will see many many Jewish surnames. These are the people who were burned. Of the 6,000,000 who died, how many would have grown up to be gifted musicians, doctors, artists, philanthropists?

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the diseases of racism and bigotry, Europe opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.
